The atmosphere became heated. Everyone’s attention focused on Ava as they were desperately waiting for her side to hear. It was not unknown to them that she was going to talk about the relationship between her and Ian. The people around them were all her and lan’s close friends, so they knew about their very secrets.

Ava felt Dane’s dark gaze on her. A nervous expression appeared on her face as she turned to face him. His eyes were sharp on her.

Ava turned her head with a trembling voice. She took a moment to gather her thoughts by closing her eyes, and then she opened them with confidence.
Her gaze was drawn to the man sitting across from her. His gaze was mocking her as if to say that you did not have anything to say with regard to the meaning of the term “betrayal.” Because in his eyes, he was innocent and she was the culprit.
The moment Ava began to speak, she appeared to have a slight smile on her face, as if she had returned to those earlier times.
“There was a nerd who used to hide her looks because her mother was afraid of someone. So she used to tell her to hide herself and never get too close to any Alphas. Her mother was foolish to believe that. Because she was unaware of what was going through her daughter’s mind.”
Dane’s eyes dimmed when he heard Ava. Her mother used to hide her because of her fear of him. Ava took a brief glance at him before continuing,
“The nerd has different plans in her heart. Unexpectedly she fell for a bad boy who was not easy to approach. Not for her actually. Because he was easygoing with all of the other girls with whom he spent the night.”
Ava gazed at lan when she said that. Everyone gulped as they glanced at lan to see his reaction.
However, lan was not mad. He seemed eager to hear more from her. He stared at her calmly, taking in everything she said.
“A bad boy who only believed in one–night stands, he was far too dangerous for a nerd like her. Whenever she was on the campus, her eyes always looked for him. She never considered being with him because she thought she was not on the same level as him. She did not have the confidence. But fate wanted to play with her. At that moment, everyone recalled the day that Ian had rejected her. For both her and his friends, the day was complete and utter chaos.

Stephen’s lips parted, his eyes stinging. Ava involved him too, telling him that she had trusted him a lot in the past. He wished he had trusted his younger sister more.
“With the effort of the bad boy, the girl fell for him once again, or I could say her heart never forgot him.”
The dark clouds that were beginning to form in lan’s eyes caused his expression to begin to shift.
‘She was determined not to let that boy go again. He told her that she was the only one in his heart. He told her that he loved her and could not imagine his life without her. What was his attitude toward her at the time! She was mesmerized, convinced that she was the luckiest girl on the planet!”
Ava let out a chuckle. It was a laugh of a mock
She raised her gaze and looked straight into lan’s eyes.
She could not help but think, ‘Where are you lost, Ian Dawson? People here are surprised because they are unfamiliar with our story. But how could you forget your fake promises?‘
A deep voice that was next to Ava spoke out, which caused her to break eye contact with Ian.
“What happened next?”
