Frey spoke up with an angry tone.
“How did you say that? He loved her. But she was the one who cheated on him.”
ave her a fake smile as she continued,
Ava gave
“One day he went out of the pack. She was waiting for his return at the same time she was busy with her studies. A boy was assisting her in this. He took her to his dorm and acted to help her. Later, he drugged her, tried to…”
She paused, lowered her gaze, and said,
“She had no idea about his intentions because she was unconscious. He gave her an appearance that was indescribable. When her boyfriend returned, he found her it that boy’s room. Do you know what he did?‘
Ava cast a glance at lan, who seemed frozen. She smiled sadly and muttered,
“He betrayed her and her love by not trusting her. In a situation when she needed his support the most, he left her. He refused to listen to her and was only interested in ending their relationship. He never intended to be with her in the first place. Otherwise, why did he not look into the matter? Shouldn’t he have captured the boy. and punished him instead of accusing her? How ruthlessly he broke her heart and abandoned her in that boy’s room to suffer alone.”
Everyone gasped and turned their gaze to Ian. His face was a mask of confusion and shock. He raised his brows, unable to conceal his expression any longer.
His lips were slightly open. He seemed to be in disbelief about what he was hearing. Anyone could see the gears turning in his head as he tried to make sense of everything.
The rest of the group was silent, waiting to see what lan would do next. The tension in the room was so thick that a knife could cut through it.
A flicker of anger spread in his eyes like he was mad at himself. His jaw started to clench as he almost broke eye contact with Ava
“If she truly loved that boy, why did she abandon the pack?” Ronald Solace questioned.
“She could have waited for him to calm down and clear the misunderstanding,” said Ronald, speaking on behalf of his best friend.
Ava shifted her gaze to Ronald.
“Who told you that she did not wait?” That boy left the pack again for his work. She waited for days for his return even after he broke up with her. She cried all day and night, calling him. He never received her calls, making the days for her worse. She later learned that he was getting married to another girl. That was the time she realized that he had moved on a few days. She could not keep waiting for him. She did not want to see him with someone else. Although she had lost all of her self–respect in front of him, she could not lose herself by seeing him with another girl. She wanted to leave the place where she could only escape from their memories. She decided to leave the pack and never returned. Before leaving, she apologized to her family and requested that they not look for her. She cut off contact with everyone because she wanted to live alone for a while. She wanted to start a new life without love, betrayal, or heartbreak. She did what she thought; she found a new pack, a new life, and maybe a new partner who was more loyal than her ex–boyfriend.”
She did not look at lan after finishing the story to see how he reacted. She did not even want to know if he had believed in her finally. She cast a direct look at Dane, attempting to gauge his emotions.

Dane’s eyes were gentle. He raised his hand and caressed her hair.
That girl was incredibly brave. Her new partner must be very lucky.”
She did not respond, only listened to him.
“You have told enough of the story. Let us take In some fresh air. Not going to play this game anymore.”
His tenderness warmed Ava’s heart. Having told everyone her side, she was feeling, emotional on the inside. But with Dane, she felt confident.
With him, she got to her feet. She gazed at her friends, who looked upset after listening to her story. They gave her an upset smile, feeling proud that their friend had moved after struggling in that relationship.
Ava and Dane walked out of the lounge area, moving toward the bar. They ordered drinks and began talking to one another.
With his hands clenched into fists, lan’s eyes followed them
His friends were still in a state of shock. They had no idea how badly they had mistaken Ava. They realized this today.
Ereya looked puzzled. She could not believe that Ava had to go through this. As a woman, hearing this was disheartening. She was not a villain who would take pleasure in another woman’s demise. She used to believe that Ava cheated on lan and that she was a bad woman. However after hearing her side of the story, she felt sorry for
her. T
Something came to mind as she slowly turned her head to face the man sitting next to her.
If she was so upset, imagine how guilty this man felt on the inside!
Looking at his perplexed expression, she raised her hand and grabbed the sleeve of his jacket.
“Jan,” she let out in a soft tone.
Ian jumped up from the couch. He had a fierce expression on his face. He stormed out of the area, needing some fresh air to clear up his mind.
It was hard to assume where he wanted to go. However, regardless of where he went, it was likely that his mind would keep playing over everything that Ava had said a short while ago.
Tonight, she shared what was on her mind, what had happened in the past, and what he had never understood. She had clarified all his misunderstandings, leaving him with a guilt he could never escape.
He walked out of the hall but did not intend to leave yet. The dim yellow light illuminated the colorful wall as he walked to the corner of the hall and stood there.
A fresh wave of guilt and anger tensed his muscles.
In a fit of rage, he abruptly turned around and punched the wall. He felt a wave of pain as blood oozed out of his knuckles, leaving him in a vulnerable state.#
However, with the pain that was beginning to rise in his chest, it was nothing in comparison. Tonight, he put his faith in her words, which caused his heart to hurt. He trusted her without question.
“I can not believe I was so blind!”
