He glanced at the man lying like a dead body on the hospital bed. He looked pale, losing nearly all of his blood. The large amount of equipment next to the bed suggested that might be receiving serious medical attention
The doctor inhaled deeply before speaking
“Alpha, Robin has been in this state for three years now. You wanted to kill him. However, after that, you chose to punish him with something more lethal than death.‘
Ian’s eyes flashed as he recalled how he did not let go of Robin years ago. He Indeed tried to kill this man. But he did not do that when his father arrived to stop him.
Though he used to believe that Ava had cheated on him, there was a thorn in his heart that always told him that if this man did not exist, maybe everything would be fine in his life. He could never forget that he dared to touch Ava in spite of knowing that she was his girlfriend. He dared to play with fire, so he had to be burned.
“This punishment is nothing compared to what awaits him” Ian said, lighting a cigarette.
He reached into his pockets, but there was no lighter inside.
The doctor noticed this and quickly took out a lighter from his pocket to light the cigarette for him.
Biting the cigarette between his teeth, lan spoke again.
“How many days?”
The doctor understood that he was talking about how many days it would take him to wake Robin up.
“Alpha, his blood has been changed every four months for years. When it was purified, it was injected with toxin, a temporary poison that caused him to feel as if his entire body was on fire.”
Ian’s eyes returned to Robin, inhaling the smoke deeply. Puffing out the smoke, he remembered Ava’s words.
This man touched her, and she did not want it. He had dared to touch her while she was unconscious. He had drugged her drink and changed her clothes. This man had dared to see her body. This man dared to leave those dirty marks on her neck.
Ian balled his other hand, feeling the urge to rush into the room and kill the man right there.

“Alpha has already felt so much over the years. If he awakens, it will be a trauma for him. Because, despite his unconscious state, he had been experiencing all of the pain you had caused him.”
lan’s brows twitched as he turned his head to look at the doctor.
He removed the cigarette from his lips and pointed at him with the fingers that held it.
“Do you mean you want to replace yourself with him?”
The doctor’s eyes widened. He immediately lowered his head.
“Alpha, I never said that. It is just that I have never witnessed such a painful punishment before. My apologies if I dared to offend you.”

Ian took his hand off the doctor’s shoulder. When the doctor mentioned witches, he felt irritated.
He was not fond of witches. In his opinion, why did the witches have powers? Magical realms where people could play with fire and air whenever they pleased did not appeal to him. Witches, in his opinion, were the most overrated beings who lacked the strength to oppose the Alphas. They were evil creatures, using their powers to harm those around them.
“I don’t care. “Is it that old witch?” he inquired, blowing smoke from his lips.

That woman was old and well–known among the Red Moon Pack. When lan visited the Red Moon Pack two years ago, he met her.
He was surprised to discover that she was the same witch who had met him as a child. He was just ten years old at the time.

Jan’s lips turned into a painful smirk.

The doctor noticed his expression. Looking away from him, he recalled what the witch had told him.
“Alpha, she said something to me. Since you are here, I can tell you what she said.”
Ian was unconcerned about what the woman had said to him.
The doctor did not notice his disinterest. He thought Ian would be interested in hearing it.
“She said you would remember her because you were going to meet the woman she had mentioned to you.”
lan’s eyes darkened. “I am going to meet that woman?” he muttered.
The day he had met that old woman for the first time came to his mind. He clearly remembered her words and the woman she had mentioned.
