Ava was talking with Griffin about tomorrow. He inquired as to whether he could come to get her. But she declined and said that she would go there herself.
She was not as excited as how she thought she would be a few months ago.
Life really changed people and tho
situations.
“Then see you tomorrow,” Griffing said before hanging up the phone.
Ava put down her phone on the bed and left the bedroom.
In the living room, she discovered that everyone except Ian was engaged in a conversation about something; however, once they became aware of her presence, they ceased their conversation
Ian was not there; he was in his bedroom.
While Ava was making her way to the table to get a glass of water, she inquired,
“What is the reason that you all stop talking? Is there a secret?”
Abigail cast a quick glance in the direction of Debra and Stephen. They gave a slight nod as if they were in agreement that they would not say anything.
On the other hand, Ronald was the one who broke the silence and raised his voice.
“Nova’s father is causing some issues from outside the pack. His man is looking for Ian. Someone may have informed them about Ian’s injury.”
Ava froze while holding a glass of water. In response, she turned around and asked,
“Is there anyone who can let him know about Ian’s injury? And by the way, what is about him? According to what he and his daughter had planned many years ago, they should be punished for their actions.”
Ronald nodded his head and replied, “When you left the pack two weeks ago, Ian banished Nova and his father from our pack.” Ava was shocked. In the past, Nova’s father held the position of an official. In situations where others did not have sufficient evidence, it was difficult to punish officials.
If the Alpha is determined to punish former officials, they have the option of simply sending them to prison. However, banishing from the pack meant a punishment of never returning. They had many relatives and family members. All people would now be responsible for the consequences.
Ava’s friends got up as they approached her.
“Ian did it for you. You know how sorry he is for not trusting you years ago. In fact, he wanted to kill Nova and his dad, but his friends stopped him. He is doing everything for you, Ava. He really loves you,” Abigail said.
Ava lowered her gaze, fixing it on the floor. She did not reply, which disappointed the four people in the living room.
To ease the situation, Debra planned to watch a movie.
They called Ian to join them. Ian at first did not want to, but when He saw Ava sitting on a couch, he went to sit next to he
The movie night that took place four years ago was brought to Ava’s mind as she watched the movie. She recalled how they were having a good time during the night and how everyone else had fallen asleep except for her and Ian. The argument that they had with each other that night brought them closer.
Ava was focused on the movie when suddenly her eyes shifted to the other two couples.
Nowadays, they do not hide their feelings for each other. Stephen and Ronald were very nice to her friends, which relieved Ava.

Ava was about to move her head away but paused when she saw Roald tilt his head and start kissing Abigail.
They may have assumed no one would notice them because everyone was focused on the movie.
Ava blinked, blushing as she witnessed her best friend kissing.
Ava gasped when she felt a hand reach out to her cheek from behind and turned her head to the other side.
Her face came face to face with Ian. He looked into her eyes and whispered,
“Why are you staring at them? If you want to kiss, you can have me”
“No, it’s not like-”
He cut her off as he kissed her lips.
She was taken aback by the unexpected kiss. She wanted to push him, but her inner feelings wanted to be with him.
So she kissed him back. It pleased Ian. He was on the verge of pulling her onto his lap, but he refrained from doing so as he recalled the movie night of four years ago.
His love was not based on their physical interactions.
He broke the kiss and turned his head to the scene playing in the movie.
He wrapped his arm around her and pressed her head against his chest, then whispered, “Forget about everyone. Let us concentrate on the movie.”
The movie was coming to an end.
The couple in the movie were hugging each other after surviving the danger.
“What a happy ending,” Ava heard Ian say.
Ava’s eyes fixed on the screen as she exhaled deeply and mumbled,
“Not every love story can have a happy ending.”
