Upon hearing that, everyone was taken aback.
Dane’s eyes grew darker when he heard that. His gaze darted around the hall, looking for a specific person, but he was surprised when he could not find him.
“Griffin? Where is Griffin?” He yelled in anger.
Ava was stunned. She turned her head to look for her brother. Surprisingly, he had not come to the party tonight.
She hurriedly dialed his number to contact him. But Griffin did not receive her call.
“Is Brother Griffin in any danger?” she said with fear in her eyes.
She recalled how the official wizards had beaten him when he tried to save her last time,
“We need to go and fight them before they start using their power on us,” Beta Bruno said to Dane.
Dane growled in anger and left the hall.
Ava could see every pack fighter and guard following him. The witches and wizards who had gathered to celebrate Alpha’s birthday also accompanied him.
Ava realized that the pack was full of witches and wizards, but only a few of them had come to attend the party.
It was obvious the others were planning the attack.
Freya rushed out of the hall. Ava noticed her and tried to follow her to stop her.
Freya was a beta female, but right now she was drunk. There was no way she could fight with witches and wizards. It was the reason Ava wanted to stop her. But Angela dashed over to Ava and held her wrist, cashing her to lose Freya’s direction.
“Ava, don’t go. Stay in the hall with us.”
Ava frowned at her. “Mom, I need to go and fight for my pack. I am a hybrid. I am a werewolf, and I had witch’s powers too. I am stronger than them.”
Angela shook her head and hugged her daughter. “No, don’t go. What if something happens to you? What will I do? How will I live?”
Ava kissed her mother’s head and broke the hug. She cupped her cheeks and said,
“Mom, you have been hiding me from this pack for years. You were always afraid of my life. But now it’s time for me to help my pack. I can’t hide and stay behind anymore.”
After saying that, she dashed toward the forest. Angela stared at Ava as her hand slipped away from hers.
She sobbed, not knowing what to think. Gamma Harper came and hugged her to give her a shoulder to cry on.
It would be safer for them and Ian’s parents if they left their rival pack. But since Ava was there, they would wait till the battle
was over.
When Dane and his officials reached the point where they could see the witches and wizards, he was astounded.
The pack fighters growled at the witches and wizards, giving off a fierce appearance. They only needed Alpha and they would act on it.
rder from their
Dane stared at them, observing how many people were there to fight against him. It appeared that they had been gathering people for them. There were many wolves too, indicating that they had betrayed their Alpha and lowered their heads to the
other creature.
Dane glared at them, growling,
“It’s not an attack, it’s a war!”
All of the pack fighters behind Dane shifted into wolf form and rushed forward.
Dane turned to his officials, who were ready to shift. “Inform all of the pack fighters from the border to come here. This would not be easy to win because they also had wolves.”
Beta Bruno tried to connect with all the pack fighters with their mind links. But his eyes widened in shock.
“What happened?” Dane asked in anger.
“A–Alpha… they spellbound the whole area. We can’t reach the pack fighters through the mind links.”
Dane was shocked.
How would they fight without their pack fighters? The opposing party was armed with hundreds of wolves, witches, and wizards. On the other hand, he only had thirty wolves with him.
However, he was not a weak Alpha. As the head Alpha who had been ruling this pack for years, he would have to jump into the war without any fear. He could not reveal his weakness to the opponent. He would kill them all on his own to keep his pack safe.
Dane shifted into his wolf form. The gray wolf charged toward the wizards, while his officials charged toward the wolves, intending to kill them for their betrayal.
The war began.
The wizards were striking the wolves with their powers, and the witches were fighting with enchanted knives.
Dane kept killing whoever came into his sight. He did not want to lose to anyone from his own pack.
He frowned when he smelled different wolves.
‘They were not from this pack! Did they call the other wolves from outside the pack?‘ he wondered while fighting.
The war continued, and many wolves who were with Dane were injured. Their bodies were on the ground, with blood flowing
out.
Dane could feel the pain when a wizard used his power on him to crush his bone. As the head Alpha, he had the power to handl them. However, his mind was distracted by the other attack, so he missed the target.
It was close to the end, and everything seemed to be over for Dane. It was impossible for him or any other wolf to break throuş the spellbound field.
The wizard charged toward him and was on the verge of stabbing him in the neck. But a sharp knife appeared to save Dane, piercing the wizard’s hand and causing his grip on his own knife to loosen.
The knife, along with the wizard’s body, fell to the ground.
Dane was stunned as he slowly turned in the direction from where the knife had come.
He saw a pair of red eyes approaching him. The man was not in his wolf form, but when the moonlight fell on the man, Dane took a step back in surprise.
He could not help but say in the mind link,
“Alpha Ian?”
Ian stopped another strike that came toward Dane.
Dane is taken aback beyond words.
Did Ian come here to support him in the war?
“Why did you save me?” Dane asked, knowing that he would not hear him.
Dane assumed he would not listen to him because he was currently
But, unexpectedly, lan turned his head to him and replied,
“My woman loves you. How can I watch her cry when you die?”
