Ava took care of lan for the entire week. Everyone was happy that they got back together.
Ian’s parents expressed gratitude to her for saving their son. Ava’s parents were relieved that she would not have to leave them because she would be with Ian in the future.
However, no one talked about the future because Ian was still recovering.
Griffin visited the hospital every day to see Ian. He apologized to Ava for his foolishness every day. In retaliation, he came to Ian with a Viola flower, which would help Ian heal faster. Griffin did the same with Dane. He delivered that flower to him as well. He had requested Dane’s forgiveness as well as severe punishment.
However, Dane stated that he became loyal the moment he put an end to the war.
Dane said Griffin could rule the coven. Griffin at first did not agree, but Dane said he did not want to remember the past, so he wanted him to move on.
It was late at night when Ava was returning to Ian’s cabin in the hospital.
She was outside the hospital for an hour because her mother had asked her to go home for a while.
Heading to Ian’s cabin, Ava smiled, recalling what the doctor had said. Ian was going to be discharged tomorrow. They all would go back to the Mystic Shadow Pack tomorrow.
Ava stood outside the room, raising her hand to open the door. She was pleased to inform Ian of the good news.
As soon as Ava opened the door, she was shocked.
The cabin no longer looked like a hospital room. There were rose petals on the floor, and candles surrounded them.
Ava was surprised to see that. She took a quick look at the empty bed. These days, Ian recovered really fast because of Griffin’s help with the flower. Ian could walk around now easily.
Ava walked into the cabin, trying to find Ian.
“Ian?”
The cabin door shut behind Ava. She turned around to find Ian standing beside the door.
“You were behind the door?”
Ian stepped toward her. He was not in the hospital uniform anymore. He was in a white shirt and black pants as if he was ready
for a special occasion.
“W–What is this, Ian?” Ava asked as she glanced around the cabin.
Ian stopped in front of her.
“Ava”
She paused, looking around, and looked at him directly. She was shocked when he slowly got on his one knee.
“W–What are you—”
She could not finish when she saw him taking out a box from his pocket.
It was the same box that she had burned on her birthday night.
He slowly opened the box, causing her to gasp.
“It is the locket that I chose for your birthday four years ago.”
Ian took out the locket and pressed on it. His press caused a crack between two wolves, and the locket split in two.

Ava could not believe her eyes. It was actually two lockets that had been joined together.
“I have always wanted to give it to you. I have been keeping it safe so that I could give it to you. You chose it four years ago, and from that day, I thought I would give it to you before asking you to be mine forever.”
Ava blinked her eyes as she stared at Ian. He smiled at her and asked,
“Will you marry me, Ava?”
Ava’s eyes widened. She did not expect him to ask for marriage. It was so surprising that she let out a gasp.
He slowly put down the box “If you don’t want to marry me now, then-
She immediately held his hand and replied,‘
“Yes, I will.”
Ian’s eyes lit up as he got up and put the locket around her neck.
Ava hugged him and said, “Even if you had asked me to marry you right now, I would have said yes too.”
He wrapped his arms around her waist and smirked.
“We can’t do that in this pack. Why don’t we get married tomorrow then?”
After saying that, he leaned down and kissed her on her lips.
Ava could not respond because his lips sucked hers, preventing him from speaking.
She pressed her hands against his chest. “Stop kidding. We can not get married without telling our parents and giving them time to celebrate.”
He pushed her on the bed and climbed on top of her. “As you wish, baby.”
She gulped, feeling his hand roaming around her body. “W–We are in the hospital.”
“So?” he asked, kissing her neck.
“Your wounds-
“Healed.”
“Somebody will come.”
“I locked the door and set guards outside to ensure that no one could disturb us.”
Ava was dumbfounded. He had planned everything beforehand and gave her no chance to stop him.
His hands started to undress her. She ran her hands over his back, touching the wounds.
“Mark me tonight, Ian.”
Jan knew why she said that. The tree branches like wounds, actually appeared because of her blood. Only marking he uld make them disappear.
He shook his head and embraced her before replying,
“I will make the marking night special for you. Nothing can be more special than a wedding night, my love.”
