Ava closed her eyes when she felt the knife touch her throat
However, the boy moved it from her neck and held it near her arm.
“What about stabbing her arm, huh?”
Ava thought she would lose her arm today. She slowly opened her eyes.
However, she was taken aback when Ian picked up a beer bottle from the floor and hurled it in her direction. Fearing that it would hit her head, she shook her head. But never made contact with her body. Rather, it smashed into the boy’s head.
The boy immediately released her and grabbed his head.
Ava turned around to see the boy’s body fall to the floor.
The boy was groaning in agony, moving his body like a fish pulled out of the water.
Everyone turned to look at Ian. Shock swept over Ava. 1
Ian approached the boy with a glare in his eyes.
He avoided Ava’s gaze and focused solely on the boy.
He bent down and snatched the knife from the boy.
“I warned you not to look at her, but you dared to touch her. I don’t like it when someone ignores my warnings.”
After that, Ian stabbed the boy in the arm with the knife.
The boy let out a scream of pain.
Ava covered her mouth as Ian twisted the knife, which was still piercing the boy’s skin.
Her eyes became blurry. She was not used to witnessing all of this.
Ian raised his head and his gaze met hers. She blinked her eyes and tears streamed down her cheeks.
She turned away from him and ran towards Stephen.
Stephen hugged her and asked,
“Are you okay?”
She nodded her head while hugging him. Right now, all she wanted was someone to hold her and tell her
everything was fine. She wanted everything to be a nightmare so that when she woke up, she would not remember
- it.
Stephen stroked her hair and said,
“No one will hurt you now. Don’t worry.”
She slowly opened her eyes and turned her head to glance at the boy. He was still groaning from pain.
Paul spoke out as he walked toward the gate. “I am sending men to clear this up.
Cyrus looked over at Ian and asked,

Tan cut him off and replied,
“Send them to their Thunder Howl Pack.”
Ava broke the hug and looked at Stephen.
“Thunder Howl Pack?”
Stephen gazed at her and replied, “They are Thunder Howl Pack’s men. We don’t have a very good relationship with their Alpha and officials.”
Ava tried to think of the name of that pack. It sounded familjar. She had heard of the pack before. The pack’s Alpha ascended to the throne at a young age.
She glanced at Ian, who looked gloomy.
“No need to know about that pack. We are never going to have any kind of deal with that pack anyway,” he said, indicating his words toward Ava.
After a few minutes, Paul brought some men to take the men to send them back to their pack.
Ava stared at the blood on the ground. She was in a daze. Her mother always took her away from this world. She had never been in this type of situation before.
Stephen raised his hand and placed it on her head.
“Lil sis, don’t worry. Just forget about these, okay?”
Something came to Ava’s mind as she was about to ask but paused when Cyrus said to Stephen,
“Your hand is bleeding, dude. Let’s go to the pack hospital.”
Ava noticed Stephen’s wrists were bloody because of the rope that had been tied around them.
“I am going with you,” she said, ready to go with him.
Stephen shook his head. ‘No, Ava. You should go back to our house. I will be fine and return home safely. I have some other work to do.” (1
Glancing at Ronald, he uttered,
“I need your help with something. Drive her to my house.”
Ronald glanced at Ava, then replied,
“Sure. Why not?”
Ava wanted to refuse, but she understood that Stephen might have some urgent work. So she kept quiet.
Stephen left with Cyrus, and Paul left with the men who were getting the boys out.
So only Ava, Ronald, and Ian were there.
Ian walked out of the place without turning to face either Ronald or Ava.
Ronald walked up to Ava and questioned,
“Hey! Are you alright?”

Ava lowered her head and inumbled,
“In truth, no I am not.”
Ronald studied her for a moment before focusing on the jacket she was wearing
“That’s Ian’s jacket.”
It dawned on Ava that she was still wearing it.
She was about to take it off, but Ronald shook his hands to stop her.
“No need to do that. I was just asking.”
Ava thought her top might still be wet, so she considered wearing it..
“Okay.”
“Then let’s go,” Ronald said, gesturing toward the gate.
Ava walked ahead, making her way to the gate.
As soon as she walked out, she noticed Ian leaning against the wall. He was smoking and looking to the other side of the road.
Ava paused her steps and followed his gaze. She noticed a couple making out on the street. She averted her gaze from them shyly.
Ronald’s phone began to ring, and when he answered, he cast glances at Ava and Ian.
Ava waited for him to say something because she assumed the caller was Stephen.
But after hanging up the phone, Ronald stated,
“Ava, I need to leave now. It’s urgent.” 1
Ava was stunned. If he left, then who would take her home? It was already late at night. She was certain she would not be able to get a cab there. The way that people were looking at her while she was coming here was something that she could not forget. So there was no way she could leave alone.
“But then how will I-”
Ronal interrupted her and gazed at Ian, who was listening to them without looking at them.
“Don’t worry. Ian will drop you home.” (1
