Ava walked into the campus and noticed people glancing at her.
She rolled her eyes and murmured, “What again?”
She tried to ignore the people, but one of the boys approached her and asked,
“Ava, are you really with Luke? Is there any chance to reconsider it?”
Ava was stunned. A surprised look appeared on her face, as she did not know how this boy had heard about her and Luke.
“What do you mean?” she asked, giving him a confused look.
The boy handed him his phone and showed him a video.
She watched the video where Luke had proposed to her. It looked like Luke was a little loud at that time. It was because she was about to leave the cafe, and he tried to stop her from leaving
“So, is this now the talk of the town?” she inquired, raising her head to face the boy.
He scratched the back of his neck and exclaimed,
“You have many other choices, you know. They may keep their distance from you because of your brother. Even though we have seen you and Luke together. He was very protective of you.”
Upon hearing the boy, Ava realized how Luke defended her in front of Ian.
There was a lot going on yesterday. The fight in the university, and later at that night Ian once again fought with other people.
Though last night was hard for her, she did not want to remember it again.
“Ava.”
She heard her voice and turned her head in the direction of it.
Abigail came to her and wrapped her shoulder around her neck.
“What are you doing with this boy?” she asked, gazing at the boy.
The boy turned his attention to Abigail. “What do you mean by this boy? I am a member of team Black Diamond.”
Abigail scoffed at him. “You and your whole team should stay away from my friend. Now shoo shoo.”
The boy glanced at Ava for the last time. Ava handed his phone back to him. He left their sides when he found no hope for himself.
“What were you watching on that boy’s phone? Oh, wait! The video, hmm?”
Abigail wiggled her brow, teasing Ava.
Ava shoved the thoughts and turned to look at her.
“So you also watched the video?”
“You also? Everyone has seen it, baby,” Abigail said and winked at her.
Ava let out a chuckle. “Stop teasing me. I am already depressed.”

Abigail started to walk, dragging Ava with her while holding her shoulder.
“Why are you depressed?”
“We didn’t go on a date, Abi. He said he liked me. I told him that I needed some time.”
“What’s wrong with that?”
“It’s just, even if it was a date, I don’t like how they clicked ine and my private life like that. I don’t enjoy these people’s lives where they feel like celebrities when others like to spread news about them like paparazzi.”
Abigail understood what Ava meant, so she nodded her head in agreement.
They entered the cafeteria and sat at a table. Ava was about to tell Abigail everything that had happened yesterday.
But before that, someone placed a cup of strawberry smoothie on the table.
Both Ava and Abigail looked at it with confusion because they had not ordered anything yet.
But then they saw the fair hand of a girl. They lifted their gazes from the mug and looked at the person.
“What do you want, Nova?” Abigail asked.
Nova was standing there. She smiled at Abigail and then fixed her gaze on Ava. Beside Nova were with two other girls.
Ava realized that she had seen one of the girls in the restaurant last night.
It did not take long for Ava to realize who had recorded the video of her and Luke last night.
She was enraged by the thought and stood up from her chair.
“You! You were the one who posted that video, right?”
The girl laughed as she glanced at Nova. Nova smirked at Ava and asked,
“What’s wrong with it? Are you embarrassed about being seen with Luke? Wait a minute. Shouldn’t it be the other way around?”
Nova’s friends burst out laughing. Their laughs gained other people’s attention as they turned their heads to look at them.
“Nova and you two minions, my friend is already depressed about something. So fuck off!”
Abigail said after standing up from her seat angrily.
Nova raised her hand and placed a finger beneath her chin.
“Depressed? Why? Let me guess.”
She took a brief pause before her eyes lit up as she smirked at Ava.
“Is that because you are not with just one man?”

“Not with one man?”
“Is she with other men at the same time?”
“So she is a two–timer? What a waste!”

They started to judge Ava with their skimming eyes.
The atmosphere turned heated as they started to talk about how Ava was taking advantage of Stephen’s reputation after becoming his sister.
Abigail tightened her fists. Ava grabbed her hand to keep her under control because she knew her best friend was angry and would do anything to hurt Nova. She did not want to see a catfight for her.
Ava looked at Nova and said,
“How can you be so sure that I am also with another man?
Nova gave her a sly grin. “Do I need to give proof for it?”
Ava raised an eyebrow. “Why not? I also want to see that proof. Why didn’t you post it online like you made your friend post Luke’s and mine video on the group? Are you afraid of something, Nova?”
Everyone was confused about how her going with another man was related to Nova.
Nova glared at Ava.
Ava smirked at her, stepping closer to her.
“You should not have messed with me. Now I have to reveal your secret, which you had kept hidden from others in order to maintain your so–called ‘Future Luna‘ reputation.”
Nova looked around and noticed others‘ perplexity. Upon seeing her response, Ava laughed.
It was her time to give her back.
“Ladies and gentlemen, our campus queen is deceiving you all. She is no longer Ian Dawson’s girlfriend, or, I can say, his favorite girl.”
Nova could not take it. She could not tell others about it. So she said to everyone,
“She is lying. Don’t trust her. She is just-”
However, a deep voice interrupted her from behind.
“She is not lying. I broke up with Nova.”
