“Party? But last night…”
Ronald paused, as he spoke on the phone with Stephen. But his gaze was drawn to fan, who was sitting on his bike. While looking at the glass door of a tattoo shop, lan was smoking a cigarette.
“Ronald, you know I was mad at him. But then Ava-”
“Again Ava? What’s wrong with you, Stéph? Are you still thinking about her? She looks happy with her boyfriend, Luke. What about Ian? Can’t you see his situation?”
Stephen was silent. As his gaze remained fixed on Ian, Ronald exhaled deeply and let out a long breath. He could not see his best friend in this state.
Over the past few days, Ian had stopped using his father’s belongings, which included his father’s money and vehicles. He started smoking more than he had before and stopped talking to everyone. Because he was broke, he wanted to drink but could not do it. On the other hand, he was the kind of person who would never ask his friends for financial assistance.
Roland used to believe that making Ian realize his feelings for Ava would make everything right. That was why he was mocking lan about his feelings.
Who expected the situation to turn out the other way, with his best friend losing himself?
“I know everything. As of right now, Luke is not Ava’s boyfriend. And now, what do you expect me to do? We are all bad boys. But when it comes to our family, none of us can see ourselves with them. Because we are aware of one another’s personalities.”
When Ronald heard Stephen, he rolled his eyes. “Bro, in the future, you will have to choose between your future Alpha and your lovely sister; who will you pick?”
As if Stephen were taken aback by the question, he cleared his throat and replied,
“I do not believe that day will ever come.‘

Ronald did not want to argue with Stephen, but he was mad at his sister. When Ian was saying that he liked her and wanted to be with her, then why could she not reconsider it?
“Take an ear, Steph. You should enjoy your time with your little sister. There is no need to be concerned about Ian or his birthday. I am still alive to take care of it.”
Ronald did not give him a chance to speak further and ended the call.
He walked over to Ian and leaned against the bike, standing next to him.
His eyes also went to the tattoo shop.
“What are you looking at?” Ronald asked Ian.
Ian’s dark eyes were fixed on a tattoo, which he could see from outside.
The smoke that emanated from his mouth spread like a cloud around his face, making it difficult for other people to see it clearly.
“Nothing much,” Ian replied.
The first thing that Ronald looked at was Ian’s wrist, and then he moved his gaze to his forearm. He glanced at his
new tattoo.

“You were in a bad mood, so I didn’t ask you. This tattoo…”
Tan lowered his head and looked at the tattoo. “You are right.”
Ronald looked at him and asked,
“This is incredibly painful. Did you do that during your fight with Stephen?”
Ian gazed at him. There was a smile in his eyes when he spoke out.
“No. When I fought with her. She made me realize that I don’t deserve her.”
Without uttering a single word, Ronald continued to fix his gaze on lan. Ian’s gaze returned to his tattoo.
“Do you know why the sun and the moon can’t be together lan asked, looking at his tattoo.
“Why?” Ronald asked in a low tone.
After letting out a chuckle, Ian responded by saying,
“It’s because the sun wants to protect the moon from itself. But it leaves no opportunity to fully illuminate the moon so that it can shine.” 1
Ronald was speechless. Did he just refer to himself as the sun and Ava as the moon?
Ronald shook his head as he felt that Ian started to talk out of context.
“What about the line between them?” Ronald asked.
Ian’s mouth twisted. He hissed as if he were in pain.
“This line is fate. Fate can never let the moon and sun be together. That thin line will always remind them of their places and always make them apart from each other.” 1
Ronald patted Ian’s shoulder and murmured,
“When did you start to think like this? This tattoo has a very deep meaning. Is she aware that you designed this tattoo specifically for her? I mean, whenever you see this tattoo, you think about her.”
Blowing smoke out of his nose, Ian tried to find the right words to explain.
“She doesn’t need to know. She is happy with someone else. I don’t want to bother her again.”
Ronald was sorry for him. The big bad boy had turned into a lover boy.
“Tomorrow is your birthday. I heard your dad will return your bank cards. You will get your cars and bike back. What is your plan? Let’s go somewhere with bikes.”
Ronald had a simple plan. He would throw a party in his farmhouse and invite everyone on the campus to celebrate the night. However, before that, Ian needed to go to that place, which was a little away from the town.
“I can’t go anywhere with anything. I don’t want to use my dad’s cars or cards anymore. I am okay with how I am. living. That bus ride, cheaper food, and no alcohol parties are not so bad, you know.“\
Ronald gave him a bored look. “Bro, come on. Let’s go with us. I promise we will have fun. You will thank me later.
I won’t come.”
“Come on.”
