“Which person?” Cathy’s voice sounded puzzled.
Calls thought for a moment but didn’t give an answer, only saying, “It’s nothing, go rest early.”

After losing Calix once, she had experienced many hardships in the four years that followed. It dawned on her that she had to hold onto what she had.
“You should leave,” she said, turning her back to him.
