What can I say. I’m accident prone.
Maria said she could feel her thighs begin to bruise because Alex would not step targeting her. Brooke, however, was
the only one of us that was grinning after.
The boys on the other hand, would not stop bragging about their victory. So much so that Caroline walked up to Lucas and Cody, and smacked them both upside the head before huffing away with her arms crossed.
She really hates to lose.
The rest of us tried to stifle our laughs but it was impossible.
“Well,” I bumped shoulders with Aiden. “What’s next?”
“What,” He teased. “That wasn’t enough?”
“You said you’re stealing me away for the night. I have high expectations.” His eyes darkened at my response and briefly flickered down to my lips.
“The night is still young, Princess.” He replied walking over to the driver’s side of his car.
I don’t know what it is that I expected to happen next, but it certainly wasn’t for Aiden to pull up in front of one of the hottest hotels in downtown Chicago. “What are we doing here?” I turned to ask him but he had already gotten out of the car and handed his keys to the valet.
As I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car, I saw Lucas and Maria pull up next. Aiden was quietly giving instructions to the bell boy who had his trunk open. Before I could peek inside, Aiden grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside the hotel.
The entire lobby looked like it was designed to be Architect’s Digest. The floor was covered in whine shiny tiles with a black patterned section that led directly to the receptionist’s desk. The walls were coated with dark gray slabs of tile imitating stone, except for the wall directly behind the receptionists desk that was painted white and covered with gold rimmed geometrical shaped mirrors forming an intricate design.
The receptionist’s desk stood all the way to the left, taking up the entire wall. There was one main desk covered in glass mirror, with two smaller white desks on either side. On the small white desk to the right there was a fresh bouquet of pinky and white peonies. Other than the flowers, there wasn’t a single pen or paper out of place.
“Hi!” The receptionist smiled at us. “Welcome to London House Chicago. Are you checking in for the night?”
“Yes.” Brooke replied and took out her ID. “The reservation should be under Thompson. We booked the Vista Suite.” As Brooke continued talking to the receptionist, I tapped Caroline’s shoulder. “How long have you had this planned
out?”
“I wish I could take credit for this!” She smirked. “No, this is all lover boy over there.” She pointed towards Aiden

After Aiden and Brooke got the room keys, the eight of us squeezed into the elevator to the 22nd floor the top floor.
The room was huge and had a king sized bedroom and one guest bedroom with two double beds, as well as a living area. When we first walked in, we were greeted by the plush dark gray carpet that led us into the living area. It was modern chic with a black desk on one wall that housed a coffee bar and a swivel chair. There was also a dark navy couch and a small coffee table. The walls themselves were lined with a large flat screen TV, and various pieces of
abstract art.
Beyond the living area stood two doors, one towards the main bedroom and the other to the guest room. The bedrooms weren’t that much different except for the thick gray curtains that were pulled open allowing for a breath taking view of the city.
Once we had all changed out of our paint covered clothes, we headed to the dining area on the 22st floor. The hotel had a rooftop but it was 21+ only and seeing how only Lucas, Aiden and Maria had fake ID’s it wouldn’t have worked out very well for us.
As soon as we entered, a blonde waitress in her early twenties greeted us, or rather she greeted Aiden. “Aiden! Mark told me you were coming but I just had to see it for myself!” She batter her perfectly mascaraed eyelashes at him.
Our table was tucked in the far left corner, granting us a certain amount of privacy. Once we were all settled, Alex said, “Aiden, my man, I can’t believe you were able to pull this off.”
I glanced around confused until Lucas spoke. “They don’t typically allow anyone under 21 in here, but Mama Grace
does event planning here so she was able to sweet talk the manager into looking the other way tonight.”
I nodded apprehensively taking a sip of my Coke. “That’s nice.”
That’s nice really Scarlett?
With this being a pretty fancy place, I was surprised to see a burger on their menu. After a quick scan of the menu, I decided to go with the classic burger and parmesan truffle fries because the thought of eating a roasted cauliflower salad honestly made me want to gag.
Everyone seemed to have the same idea as me because they all stayed away from the cauliflower, chickpeas and asparagus.
