Glancing in the mirror one last time, she turned to me with a nervous smile playing on her lips. “What do you think?” She asked giving me a half twirl in wither direction. 

“You look beautiful, Care.” I reassured her. She was wearing a strapless maroon boat neck floor length gown with a thigh slit that went all the way up to her waist. She paired it with a pair of gold strappy stiletto sandals, all gold accessories and her hair was curled down her 

back. She had also opted for an all–natural make–up pallet, with shades of brown and gold and a dark maroon matte lipstick. 

“Why am I so nervous?” Caroline smoothed out her dress for the tenth time and glanced 

between me and the front door. 

“Cause you likeeeeeee him.” I teased, a smirk playing on my lips. 

“Shut up.” She grumbled, refusing to look in my direction. Instead, she busied herself with 

fixing her already perfect curls. 

Just then, the doorbell rang. 

“Come on, you look perfect.” I grabbed her hand and dragged her away from the mirror 

and towards the front door. 

Opening the door, I was greeted by a beaming Lucas holding a white rose corsage. He too 

looked absolutely dashing in a dark navy blue tux with a white button up and navy blue bow tie. “Oh look, it’s Prince Charming.” I smirked as I ushered him inside. 

“Don’t let Aiden hear you.” He chuckled. “I like my face intact.” 

“Oh hush.” I rolled my eyes. 

Glancing up at Lucas, his eyes were glued to Caroline who was standing a few feet behind us. “You’re drooling.” I whispered, nudging him out of his trance. 

“You look…” he cleared his throat, “You look beautiful, Care.” 

“You don’t look so bad yourself.” She replied, walking to stand in front of him. The way the

“This is my cue to leave.” I loudly stated, although there’s a pretty good chance they didn’t hear me. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!” I called out as I slammed the door shut behind

Before pulling out of Caroline’s driveway, I quickly texted Aiden letting him know I was on 

my way over. He had texted me earlier to come over when I was done with Caroline. 

When I pulled into Aiden’s driveway, he was just walking outside. He didn’t even wait for 

me to shift into park before he got into the passenger’s seat. Turning in my seat to look at 

him, I asked, “Where are we going?” 

“You’ll see.” He smirked, leaning across the arm consul to peck my cheek. “Also, I like your 

new hair.” 

I felt the blush creep up my neck. “Thanks.” I mumbled as he picked a loose strand of 

blonde hair and twisted it around his index finger. 

“Although you looked equally as beautiful before.” He quickly added, settling into the 

passenger’s seat. 

I could feel the smile playing on my lips. “Well are you going to give me the instructions, Einstein?” I quirked an eyebrow. 

“You’re so impatient.” Aiden rolled his eyes as he typed the address into the GPS. 

“No” I corrected. “I just don’t like to wait.” 

“Oh, my bad.” He scoffed. 

Thirty minutes later, I pulled into the parking lot of a small establishment just off the main road. The place looked more like an abandoned diner than anything else. “If you were planning on murdering me, you didn’t have to make me drive all this way.” I laughed as I turned off the ignition and waited for Aiden to make a move, 

“Very funny,” He rolled his eyes. “Let’s go, Princess.” 

Following him through the revolving doors, the inside was definitely no indication of the

outside. It was an open floor plan that was lined with row after row of various arcade 

games. After exchanging a few words with the girl at the entrance, Aiden turned to me and shouted over the loud screams and noisy games inside. “Where do you want to go first?” 

“What are my options?” I shouted back. 

“Let’s see.” He pulled a pamphlet from his back pocket. “We’ve got mini golf, game room, batting cages, laser frenzy and go–karts.” 

My ears perked at the mention of batting cages. I’ve never been to one before, but it always looked so cool on TV. “Batting cages!” I replied, allowing his to intertwined our hands and lead the way. 

“You totally bumped into me at the end!” I hissed, talking off my helmet and allowing my hair to flow down freely. 

“I did no such thing.” Aiden said smiling a wild smile. 

“Yes you did!” I poked his side. 

After visiting every single attraction at the entertainment center, we left the best for last 

the Go–Karts. Although Aiden was much better than I was at navigating through the 

winding track and hairpin turns throughout the course, I was so close to beating him to the finish line. That is until he bumped me and I went spinning. 

“Nope.” He smirked, bringing his face close to mine and capturing my lips with his. His tongue ran across my bottom lip, and my lips parted on their own accord granting him 

access.
