Saying something like that shifted the Lockets and the Shaws‘ focus to the question of whether she had the power to call the shots for YodaVision Co.

Celeste heard what Wynn said and asked, “So? Are you telling me to just let you all off the hook and pretend nothing happened?”
Wynn was aware that Celeste would never let it slide this easily. “Ms. Rodriguez, what do you want us to do to show that we’re serious? Just name your terms, and we’ll do everything you ask, as long as it’s within our capabilities.”
Celeste threw the ball back in Wynn’s court. “Ms. Locket, don’t you think you’re the one who should figure out an answer to your question?”
Wynn was stunned. Glancing at Celeste, she said, “Ms. Rodriguez, you’re absolutely right about it. I’ll buy everyone lunch later as a way of apology…”
“We’re very busy with our work. I don’t intend to attend any business meetups,” Celeste said as she cut he Ms. Locket, you can save your breath for when you talk to Mr. Yoder.”
Then, she turned around and continued to work without batting an eye at the Shaws and the Lockets.
