Chapter 682 I Was Wrong 

“Ptooey!” Orion was caught off guard and was kicked to the ground by Raven. He spat out a large mouthful of blood. 

He widened his eyes in shock. The pain in his abdomen made his face contort. 

However, at this moment, the expression on his face was more of disbelief. He never expected that Raven would attack him in public. 

No matter what, he was still the head of the Lawrence family. In terms of seniority, he was still Raven’s elder. Moreover, if Raven and Thorian were engaged, he would be Raven’s father–in–law. 

‘How dare Raven? How dare she hit me in front of so many people? Is Raven going to cancel the engagement with Thorian for Cassian?‘ Orion thought indignantly. 

He was unwilling to accept this. 

After all, he believed Raven was about to get engaged to his son, and the Lawrence family would become a top family in Vyrdenia. 

He said, “Raven, if you’re angry, you can hit me, and I’m willing to accept the punishment on behalf of my son. However, can you give Thorian another chance and forgive him this time? I can guarantee that he won’t do this again in the future. 

“The news of your engagement has already spread throughout Regalhold. Now that things have come to this, do you want to let the other families laugh at us?” 

“Mr. Lawrence, only you are a joke.” Raven smiled coldly. “I never wanted to get engaged to Thorian. Do you know why my tutor agreed to the engagement?” 

After a pause, she said, “That’s because he knew Benedict would recover, publicly expose the truth, and ruin Thorian and the Lawrence family. You have to pay the price for what you have done.” 

Raven walked past Orion and headed straight for Thorian. 

“Lady Valor, you can’t do this to me!” Thorian panicked. He looked at Raven in despair. 

He knew he would be no match for Raven if they fought. He was utterly powerless to resist. ‘Besides, I can never raise a hand against Raven, he thought. ‘Because Raven is the person I love most. How could I bear to hurt Raven?’ 

However, at this moment, Raven seized Thorian by the collar and hoisted him bodily into the air. 

When the audience below the stage saw this scene, they were all shocked. 

They watched as Raven grabbed Thorian, who was 5.9 feet tall, by the collar with his feet off the ground. He looked as fragile as a withered leaf, as if his life could end at any moment. 

A biting chill surged from the soles of their feet to the crowns of their heads. 

Before, their fear of Raven had stemmed solely from George’s influence. But now, they finally understood the true horror of Raven’s methods. 

Thorian’s face turned red, and it became more and more difficult for him to breathe. 

He still couldn’t accept that Raven would attack him. For him, the most unacceptable thing was not death, but that the person who killed him was the woman he loved the most. 

“L–Lady Valor.” Tears rolled down Thorian’s eyes. He struggled to raise his hands and hold Raven’s wrists tightly. It might be his last chance to touch Raven. 

“Are you going to kill me for him?” he asked. 

However, just as he touched Raven’s right hand, Raven threw him away in disgust. 

Thorian’s body fell heavily to the ground. He coughed desperately and took deep breaths of fresh air. 

Only when he was truly faced with the fear of death could he realize his desire for life. 

He said, “Lady Valor, I was wrong. I apologize. I will never do anything you don’t like again. We’ll cancel the engagement. I won’t insist that you be with me anymore. 

“I only want to be by your side. I can be your subordinate and do things for you. I only want to continue staying by your side. I won’t have any improper thoughts. So, please don’t kill me. You can’t kill me.”
