Chapter 707 Stop Spouting Nonsense
Although Dangelo had spoken in a hushed voice directly into Brecken’s ear, Raven’s keen hearing allowed her to catch every word of their conversation.
Raven glanced at Dangelo and quickly noticed the severity of his condition. He was suffering from a serious heart ailment–one so critical that without proper treatment, he likely wouldn’t survive another six months and would endure constant pain until the end.
“Don’t worry, Grandpa. We’ll get a chance to meet the elder from the Cloudshadow Sect. No matter what it takes, I’ll find the divine physician and get you the treatment you need,” Brecken said, his expression filled with concern as he looked at Dangelo. It was clear he was deeply troubled by Dangelo’s condition.
As Dangelo’s condition was far too serious, there were no doctors in Frihamen City capable of treating it. The only real hope lay in traveling to a secondary city for medical care or convincing an elder from the Cloudshadow Sect to help them contact a qualified physician there.
But the elders of the Cloudshadow Sect were figures of immense prestige and status, let alone asking for their help. Even getting a brief audience with one of them was almost impossible.
Now that the major families in Frihamen City had all heard about the Cloudshadow Sect elder’s impending visit, they were likely already lining up to request an audience. With so many vying for his time, it would be nearly impossible for them even to catch a glimpse of him, let alone speak with him directly.
However, as Brecken and Dangelo sat there looking visibly troubled, Raven muttered, ” So the medical standards in Forreb’s tertiary cities are really this underdeveloped?” She had never been to a tertiary city before, so she had no idea that the standard of medical care could be this poor.
In truth, Dangelo’s condition wasn’t particularly severe–if treated in time, it could be cured. Yet the fact that someone of his status in Frihamen City couldn’t find a single doctor capable of treating him struck Raven as truly unbelievable.
“What a commoner! Did you say our medical standards are undeveloped?” Brecken had overheard Raven’s murmuring and frowned, visibly displeased. “You’re from the lower realm–what right do you have to make such a judgment?”
“My grandfather’s condition isn’t some minor illness. We’ve consulted every reputable doctor in Frihamen City, but none of them could help. Only physicians from secondary cities or higher might be able to ti Successfully unlocked!

secondary cities, they’re still far superior to anything in the lower realm! Don’t think you can gain my and my grandfather’s attention by trying to show off here. Using such
tricks to get close to us won’t work. You can forget about it!”
Raven didn’t bother with Brecken’s rudeness. Since her muttering had been overheard, she said, “Your grandfather’s condition isn’t difficult. I can treat him.”
“What did you say?” Brecken widened his eyes in disbelief, then suddenly burst into laughter. “There’s a limit to ignorance, you know? A little girl like you pretending to be a doctor? Do you think the Barrera family is full of naive fools who’ve never seen the world? That pathetic lie won’t fool me!
“At your age, you probably haven’t even graduated from medical school. What skills could you possibly have to treat my grandfather? I know people like you, from the lower realms, are isolated and desperate in Forreb, trying to find someone to lean on to secure your survival.
“But you’ve got the wrong target. The Barrera family is not a fool, and we’re not someone you can afford to associate with! Don’t even talk about yourself. Even the best doctors from your lower realm couldn’t compare to an ordinary doctor from our tertiary cities. Stop spouting nonsense!”
