Chapter 712 I Can Do It
Perhaps one of those renowned physicians had once traveled through the lower realm and treated someone in public. Raven had happened to witness it–enough to mimic the technique, even if only superficially.
Still, the mere fact that she was seeing this extraordinary acupuncture technique again filled her with excitement. Her fists clenched as she watched Raven’s every move with nervous intensity.
She chose not to speak up or reveal Raven’s acupuncture technique. The other passengers were entirely focused on Raven, their eyes fixed on her every move, so no one noticed the woman’s reaction.
But as Raven continued with the treatment, the woman grew increasingly certain that this was the same extraordinary technique her mentor had once described and painstakingly tried to decipher.
If it weren’t for the lack of signal aboard the spatial vessel, she would have called her mentor immediately to share this astonishing discovery. Meanwhile, the other passengers–including Benson–began to show subtle shifts in their expressions as they watched Raven focus intently on administering acupuncture to Dangelo.
Some even began to whisper among themselves in disbelief. “Could she know medicine for real? Look at her movements‘ skill and precision; it doesn’t seem like she‘ s bluffing.”
“Ah! Look, Mr. Barrera’s nose is bleeding!” someone shouted in alarm. Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, blood began to trickle from the nostrils of the
unconscious Dangelo.
Brecken paled in shock and immediately threw himself before Raven, his expression twisted in fury. “You wretch! Are you trying to kill my grandpa?” he shouted, his voice shaking with rage.
“I knew you were bluffing! If anything happens to him–if he dies–I’ll make sure you go with him!” With that, he stood firmly between her and Dangelo, clearly determined to stop her from administering any further treatment.
A cold glint flickered in Raven’s eyes. She had stepped in to save Dangelo, not out of attachment, but simply because she didn’t want to watch him die in front of her. Yet Brecken accused her without bothering to understand the situation and even went so far as to question her medical skills. His ingratitude was, frankly, exhausting.
Even so, Raven had no intention of letting Mangelo’s condition worsen because of

“On the contrary,” she said, her tone sharp, “it was your sudden interruption that
disrupted my treatment and risked worsening his condition. But if you let me continue now, I can stabilize your grandfather’s condition within five minutes.”
“Internal heat? Utter nonsense!” Brecken dismissed Raven’s words without the
slightest trace of belief.
“You attention–seeking fraud! You’re the one who put my grandpa in danger!” Brecken snapped. “I never should’ve trusted you in the first place. If anything happens to him, I swear I’ll-”
As Brecken scowled and hurled threats at Raven, a sudden coughing fit came behind him. Pale but no longer as deathly as before, Dangelo slowly pushed himself upright, his breath ragged but steadying with each cough..
Brecken’s unfinished threat caught in his throat, the words dying as a wave of humiliation washed over him. It felt as if he’d been slapped across the face–again and again.
Only now did he realize he had misjudged Raven entirely. He opened his mouth to speak, perhaps to apologize or explain, but she had already withdrawn her silver needles and turned away, calmly returning to her seat.
Brecken no longer cared about saving face. He hurried to Dangelo’s side and carefully helped him sit up, his voice tinged with worry. “Grandpa, how are you feeling?”
Dangelo took a deep breath, surprised to find the tightness in his chest had eased and his body felt significantly lighter. Gripping Brecken’s hand tightly, he wiped away the blood beneath his nose, then asked in a hoarse but steady voice, “Brecken, did someone perform emergency treatment on me?”
