Brecken’s face turned pale as he reluctantly nodded. Dangelo then glanced around. His eyes landed on the woman closest to him, and mistaking her for the one who had saved him, he quickly cupped his hands in gratitude. “Thank you, miss,” he said earnestly. “I didn’t expect to find a doctor of your caliber here in Frihamen City.
“I’ve seen many renowned doctors for this ailment, but none could offer a solution. To think I would find someone like you aboard this vessel,” Dangelo continued, his tone filled with genuine admiration. “May I ask your name? When I return to Frihamen City, I will be sure to express my gratitude properly.”
The woman quickly waved her hand, hoping she had indeed treated Dangelo’s condition–it would be the perfect opportunity to have him owe her a favor. While the Barrera family was not the absolute elite of Frihamen City’s aristocracy, they were still a prestigious family. She greatly desired to form a connection with them.
However, her medical skills were insufficient to treat Dangelo, so she hadn’t stepped forward earlier. Looking helplessly at Raven, she gestured and explained, “I didn’t save you. It was that young girl over there.”
“You mean her?” Dangelo followed the direction of the woman’s finger, and his gaze
landed on Raven.
‘Isn’t this the girl who sneaked in from that lower realm before? She’s a doctor? And such a skilled one, capable of pulling me back from the brink of death?‘ he thought, his mind racing with disbelief.
“It’s you?” Dangelo’s emotions were a mix of surprise and confusion. He never expected the person he had once looked down upon would be the one to save him. Hey, I owe you. Thank you for stepping in and saving me,” he said, his voice sincere.
Dangelo understood that the woman beside him had no reason to deceive him, and judging by the reactions of those around them, it was indeed Raven who had acted. He slowly approached her and gave a slight nod in acknowledgment. “Rest assured, once we’re back in Frihamen City, I will prepare a generous reward for you,” he promised.

However, Raven shook her head at Dangelo’s gratitude. “You don’t need to thank me. I haven’t fully treated your condition. Your grandson interrupted my treatment earlier and made it clear he wouldn’t allow me to continue treating you.
“So, Mr. Barrera, if you want to heal your heart condition truly, I suggest you seek a more capable doctor as soon as possible. Otherwise, given your current state, you’ll be lucky to last another six months.” Successfully unlocked!
‘Only six months?‘ Dangelo thought, struck by the weight of Raven’s words. He turned

to look at his grandson in shock, only to find Brecken avoiding his gaze, clearly uncomfortable.
Dangelo knew Brecken well, and it didn’t take much for him to realize that Brecken had likely said many harsh things to Raven earlier, so she had become upset and refused to continue treating him.
“I’m very sorry,” Dangelo said, turning to Raven sincerely. “My grandson can be rather rash. If he’s said anything to offend you, I hope you won’t take it to heart. I do not doubt your medical skills. If you’re willing to treat my heart condition, I’ll reward you 150 thousand dollars.”
If it had been earlier, Raven would have been willing to help, even without the promise of money. But after Brecken’s harsh words, she no longer felt inclined to involve herself. Furthermore, she now had funds from Carroll, on her communication chip, so she didn’t need the money Dangelo had promised for an emergency treatment.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t treat people who don’t trust me,” Raven said coldly, her decision
final.
