Chapter 714 Remarkable Medical Skills
Raven’s refusal was swift and firm. Initially, she had no intention of revealing her identity upon returning to Forreb, and building a few connections in a third–tier city seemed harmless. But Brecken’s actions had left a bitter taste, so much so that she no longer wanted to offer them her help.
“Your grandson insulted me just moments ago. In your eyes, I’m nothing more than a nobody from the lower realm–how could someone like me possibly be capable of curing such a serious illness?” Raven said coolly.
“I think you’d be better off finding someone else.” With that, she closed her eyes to rest, no longer acknowledging Dangelo standing before her.
Seeing her unmoved, Dangelo knew pressing the matter was no longer appropriate. He let out a long, heavy sigh and, with slow and unsteady steps, returned to his seat.
It was only then that the other passengers began to view Raven differently. She had refused the Barrera family’s olive branch without hesitation, taking everyone by surprise. And the fact that she had been able to treat Dangelo’s long–standing condition suggested her medical skills were at least on par with those of doctors from secondary cities.
.
In an instant, those who had previously mocked Raven now wore warm, flattering smiles. “Who would’ve thought someone so young like you could possess such remarkable medical skills?” one of them said, their tone full of sudden admiration.
“That’s right, you wanted to bet with us earlier, and we all agreed,” another chimed in, now eager to show goodwill. “Once we get to Frihamen City, if there’s anything you need our help with, just say the word. We won’t turn you down as long as it’s within our ability.”
“Exactly, it’s always good to help one another–we should look out for each other in the future!” The passengers had changed their attitudes faster than flipping a page. Moments ago, they had mocked Raven with arrogance, but now they eagerly offered their business cards to win her favor.
Though Raven had already seen through their opportunistic intentions, she still accepted all the business cards without hesitation. After all, anyone qualified for emigration likely held some influence back in Forreb. And as long as she couldn’t reveal her true identity, forging a few connections like these could only work to her advantage.
Just then, the phone of the man seated closest to Raven suddenly rang. Under the
Successfully unlocked! surprised gazes of the nearby passengers, he gave an awkward, sheepish smile, but when he glanced down at the caller ID, a flicker of disdain flashed through his eyes.

“I’m in business, so I made sure to apply for a communication line–just in case any clients need to reach me,” he explained with a modest smile. Then, under the envious gazes of the other passengers, he answered the call.
Everyone present understood that using a phone on a spatial vessel was no cheap feat. The cost of a communication account alone was nearly as expensive as the fare
for the vessel itself.
Even though the people in the room could easily afford the fifty million kryts for the spatial vessel fare, spending several million more to make a few calls during the trip seemed like an unnecessary expense to them.
Therefore, only those with urgent matters requiring contact with the outside world would apply for a communication line. Most people, however, wouldn’t bother spending the money to purchase one.
Although the man’s gaze was filled with disdain when he looked at the caller ID, true to his business nature, he quickly changed his expression once he answered the call. He greeted the caller warmly, “Mr. Cherry, it’s been a long time! What made you think of calling me?
“What? You want to collaborate on a project? And you’re asking for 2 million dollars? Mr. Cherry, are you serious? With the current state of the Cherry Group, what major project could you possibly have?” he said, his tone dripping with disbelief.
The man snorted lightly, his tone no longer as friendly as before. “As far as I know, the Cherry Group has been losing money for three years. Now you want to collaborate on a project and ask for 2 million dollars right off the bat? Do you think I’m running a charity?
