Raven hadn’t first paid much attention to the man’s phone call, but suddenly, she heard a familiar name. ‘Tuesday Lysander?‘ she thought, her interest piqued.
She remembered that Tuesday was Cassian’s biological mother, and she had brought him to Forreb. Perhaps Raven’s gaze had been too sharp, as the man who had just hung up the phone seemed flustered. “Young lady, is something wrong?” the man asked.
“I have a question for you. Do you know a woman named Tuesday Lysander?” Raven asked, her tone steady as she looked at him.
Upon hearing the name, the man chuckled, his words laced with disdain. “I know her. She’s just a woman of low status, overly fond of vanity. She managed to marry into the Cherry family by giving birth to a son, leveraging her child to climb the social ladder.
“She’s a bit clever, but all she knows are petty tricks. Now she’s trying to have her son follow in her footsteps, hoping he’ll marry into a wealthy family to boost their status.”
