In Forreb, a person could have multiple communication chips, but the account funds and data on each chip were not shared. So, when Raven discovered that the identity on the communication chip inside the Ivory Reliquary was her own, she didn’t find it strange. 

“This communication chip is indeed mine. If you don’t believe me, you can investigate it. And I also paid the fifty million kryts for the fare. I entered here legally, so why would I injure the staff for no reason? If you want to cause trouble for me, feel free to do so directly. Don’t use these hypocritical excuses to slander me.” 

The Cloudshadow Sect member sneered upon hearing Raven’s continued defense. “Do you think denying your crimes will allow you to escape unscathed?” 

“I won’t deny what I’ve done, but I won’t take the blame for what I haven’t done. You can’t accuse me of crimes that aren’t mine.” 

The Cloudshadow Sect member sneered in anger at Raven’s defiance. “It seems you’re only going to realize the gravity of the situation when it’s too late.” He had already made up his mind that Raven was the one who had injured the staff at the entrance and sneaked aboard, so he wasn’t willing to hear any of her explanations. 

“I’ll tell you this, Forreb is not a place where people like you can simply use a few tricks to sneak in. As Forrebians, we have only one way of dealing with stowaways no mercy!” With that, he raised his fist and lunged at Raven.

Raven knew well that Forreb was a land where even novice warriors possessed strength far surpassing those from the lower realms. Since she had only just returned to Forreb, she couldn’t afford to be careless. Therefore, Raven had been keeping a close watch on the movements of the Cloudshadow Sect member. 

As soon as he swung his fist, she reacted swiftly, sidestepping to avoid the attack. In the same motion, she raised her hand and aimed a precise strike at his back, intending to force him into a position where he would expose more openings. She hadn’t expected the strike to land, but it hit him squarely in the back. 

The Cloudshadow Sect member let out a pained scream as the strike hit him, stumbling forward several steps before barely managing to regain his balance. Blood began to trickle from the corner of his lips, staining his face with a crimson hue. 

The strike from Raven had sent the Cloudshadow Sect member coughing up blood. The onlookers, who had braced themselves for the inevitable end of Raven at the hands of the Cloudshadow Sect, were stunned. They had expected her to be defeated effortlessly, but the situation had taken an unexpected turn. 

The member, humiliated by a young woman, could hardly contain his rage. His face contorted with fury as he wiped the blood from his lips, turning to point a trembling finger at Raven. “You dare strike me?” he shouted. “Do you have any idea who I am? I am a member of the Cloudshadow Sect! By offending me, you have offended the entire sect!” 

Raven’s words were delivered with a calmness that seemed almost detached from the situation. “I thought the members of the Cloudshadow Sect were supposed to be strong, but it seems you’re rather underwhelming,” she said, her tone devoid of malice. 

She hadn’t expected the fight to be over so quickly. She had prepared herself for a serious challenge, but one round was all it took to determine the outcome. It made the entire encounter feel utterly uninteresting to her. 

“How dare you insult the Cloudshadow Sect?” The member, whose pride was deeply tied to his status, now bristled with anger at Raven’s words. The mere suggestion that she could mock the entire sect ignited his fierce response. His eyes narrowed, and he adopted a posture that signaled he was ready to fight. 

“That was just a minor mistake. This time, you’ll see just how powerful I am! How dare a lowly being like you challenge me? Prepare to die!” He roared in fury, his rage consuming him as he lunged at Raven again. His eyes were bloodshot with seething hatred, and the veins on his forehead bulged as he launched a vicious punch, his murderous intent palpable.
