Chapter 728
- 2.
“Miss Valor…” Julio rubbed his hands nervously and spoke to Raven in a somewhat awkward tone. “Listen to me, just don’t get off the vessel. Go back to where you belong. The power of the Cloudshadow Sect is far more terrifying than you might imagine.
“You, coming from a lower realm, are alone in Forreb without family or friends. Now you’ve offended the Cloudshadow Sect. I honestly don’t know how you’ll survive here. I’m not trying to discourage you, but I’m saying this for your good.”
Julio couldn’t bear to watch Raven suffer from the retaliation of the Cloudshadow Sect, which is why he stayed behind to persuade her to leave. Yet, despite his persistent efforts, he still couldn’t see any trace of fear or hesitation in her eyes.
“You…” Just as he was about to continue persuasion, he suddenly heard Raven say, “Who said I’m here all alone? I’m back in Forreb to find someone.”
Julio was perhaps too shocked to realize that Raven had just said that she had returned to Forreb rather than that she had come to Forreb.
Even though the people of Frihamen City believed Raven to be a commoner from the lower realm, only Raven truly knew the truth. After five years, she had finally returned. Though not fully prepared, she was determined this time to make those hiding in the shadows pay the price.
“You mean you know someone here in Forreb?” Julio looked at Raven in surprise, carefully choosing his words.
“If you’re worried that associating with me might offend the Cloudshadow Sect, you’re free to walk away now and pretend we never met. After all, we only happened to board the same spatial vessel–there was never any real connection between us.

account.” You have no reason to get
“No, that’s not what I meant.” Julio had been thinking about distancing himself from Raven, but he felt slightly embarrassed now that she had voiced it so directly.
“I can’t afford to offend anyone from the Cloudshadow Sect, but I’ll still follow through with what I promised you earlier. For now, though, I do need to go. I’ll contact the Cherry family and arrange a time to meet. Once it’s set, I’ll message you with the details.” With that, Julio asked Raven for her contact information, then hurried off the spatial vessel.
Once most passengers had disembarked, only Raven and Benson remained on board. Benson glanced at her, a cold smirk tugging at his lips.
“Shameless, aren’t you? Clinging to someone else’s communication chip to force your way into Forreb–pathetically trying to pass yourself off as one of the elite. Honestly, it isn’t delightful just watching you.
“Well, as far as I know, that communication chip belonged to Helena Rickard, the head of Lunshire. You killed her to get your hands on it, didn’t you? Took it for yourself and then dared to claim it was yours all along!”
Raven had initially planned to leave, not wanting to waste time on matters that didn’t concern her. However, upon hearing Benson’s words, she turned back and took a few steps toward him. “How do you know so much about me?”
Benson even knew that she had taken the box from Helena. It seemed he had been secretly investigating her for quite some time. “Who exactly are you?”
“What are you talking about? I can’t stand the sight of you…” Benson’s gaze flickered, though his chest remained puffed up with pride. “I’m from Forreb, of course, I have my sources of information. The fifty million kryts you paid to leave the spatial point weren’t yours!
