Chapter 743
The manager wasn’t particularly surprised that Raven had forgotten about owning the business. Someone of her status likely had numerous properties under her name, so it was only natural for such details to slip her mind.
“Forgotten?” Raven frowned. She didn’t think her memory was that faulty, but then again, she had also failed to recall George and her other masters initially. So she swallowed her words. Compared to that, misremembering a shopping mall seemed trivial.
Still, the deeper question nagged at her: Why had she lost these memories in the first place? Now wasn’t the time to dwell on it. She responded with a nonchalant nod. “Yes, it seems I had forgotten.”
“No matter! What’s important is that you’ve come back!” The manager’s eyes shimmered with relieved tears. “After all these years under interim management, the mall is finally back where it belongs. We, your loyal staff, can rest easy about our futures now.”
The bystanders who had earlier mocked Raven stood frozen, their expressions slack with shock. This young woman was truly the mall’s owner? The revelation was nothing short of earth–shattering.
Meanwhile, the boutique supervisor reverently retrieved the cufflinks from the display, packaging them in an exquisite gift box before presenting them to Raven. “Here are the cufflinks. If you’d like matching watches, ties, or other accessories, I can package them for you immediately.”
Raven considered for a moment. “I also need a storage bracelet.” Then she made detailed requirements for the bracelet one by one.
She remembered the bracelet Cassian had worn before his confinement at Indigo Lab. Such storage devices could only be crafted in Forreb, so she described it in precise detail. Glancing at the time, she added, “Can it be ready within an hour?”
The supervisor hesitated, scratching her head. Her boss’s request sounded less like an accessory order and more like a specification for combat gear.
“You can’t?” Raven arched a brow. Given Frihamen City’s status as a tertiary city, delays were understandable.
“N–no! Of course not!” The supervisor backpedaled frantically. “For you, Boss, I would even scour the black market if necessary!”
She grabbed her coat and dashed toward the exit, pausing only to ask, “Shall I deliver it to you here, or would you prefer another location?”
“Have it sent to Fortuna Hotel.” After providing the address, Raven took the cufflink box and left.
Elsewhere, Felipe stood before a mirror, adjusting his tailored suit with meticulous care. His hair was perfectly styled, his cologne deliberately understated yet expensive.
“Dad, those cufflinks we saw earlier are perfectly made for me,” he declared, his voice brimming with covetousness. “I must have them.” He smirked. “Since my fiancée is an heiress, it’s only reasonable for her to gift them to me as a token of affection,”
Despite not yet knowing the identity of his betrothed, Felipe was already scheming how to milk her for luxuries, starting with the million–dollar cufflinks.
“Naturally,” Leonard agreed with a chuckle. “Her wealth will soon be yours anyway. After dinner, suggest taking her shopping. Rich young women adore that.”
“Be attentive, flatter her, and once she is charmed, she won’t dare refuse you anything. Pick only the finest brands. Rich girls care deeply about appearances. Don’t let her think you’re common.”
