Chapter 801
Chapter 801
Faced with Felipe’s mocking, Raven simply frowned in displeasure.
To Raven, Felipe was nothing more than a ridiculous clown–but she had no intention of exposing him just yet.
After all, Raven was not yet certain whether she was truly the founder of the Cloudshadow Sect. And since Felipe was so eager to become their son in- law, she did not mind letting him indulge in that fantasy a little longer.
“Why so quiet now?” Felipe pressed, arrogant as ever. “Don’t tell me you’re too ashamed to speak?”
Raven ignored him and turned her gaze toward Dangelo and Julio.
She said, “You’re saying you don’t know me? Especially you, Julio–weren’t you the one I told to reach out to the Cherry family for a potential marriage alliance with Cassian? Are you going to deny that now?
“Just because you see me as someone from the lower realm, you think you can smear my name to cozy up to the Cherry family?”
“Raven, face reality,” Dangelo said coldly.
Dangelo felt that Raven was an inferior person, so he could trample on her dignity at will.
Even if Raven had talent and might go far one day, her origins were simply too humble. No matter how hard she worked or how far she rose, Raven would
never be able to match the status of the Cloudshadow Sect.
So when it came to choosing between Felipe and Raven, it was not a difficult decision for Dangelo. There was no hesitation–Dangelo already knew whose side to take.
That was why he dismissed Raven’s words with disdain.
Julio, on the other hand, looked somewhat ashamed. He lowered his gaze and avoided
eye
contact with Raven.
He might not have spoken aloud, but his refusal to defend Raven said enough–he, too, had chosen to cut her off.
Raven instantly understood Julio’s choice, and her gaze grew even colder.
The moment they sensed Felipe’s rise in power, both Dangelo and Julio swiftly abandoned their former stance and pledged loyalty to Felipe.
“Fine. I’ll remember this. Just don’t come crying later,” Raven said flatly.
Then she turned to Felipe and gave him a cold smile. “And you–do you seriously think Lady Valor would ever marry you? Keep dreaming.”
f–no matter who the real Lady
Even if Raven could not be certain she was truly the head of the Cloudshadow Sect, there was one thing she was sure of- Valor was, there was no way she would ever fall for someone as ordinary, arrogant, and utterly unremarkable as Felipe.
“You think you matter that much?” Felipe scoffed, annoyed. “Who are you to stick your nose into Lady Valor’s business?
“The Cloudshadow Sect executives have already sent over engagement gifts. All that’s left is for both families to meet and finalize the date–this marriage is practically sealed. Your opinion doesn’t matter at all.”
Felipe brimmed with confidence and was clearly looking forward to the future.
“Dad, Grandpa, let’s show them our sincerity. Reach out to the Cloudshadow Sect at once. My fiancée has made her move–I can’t keep her waiting.
“Inform the executives of the Cloudshadow Sect that I’m willing to marry Lady Valor, even as a matrilocal son–in–law. I’ll go along with whatever terms the Cloudshadow Sect sets,” Felipe said.
“Absolutely—we mustn’t let Lady Valor wait.” Mack nodded firmly. “I’ll contact Timonthy immediately and make sure the marriage is finalized soon.”

Then, as if deliberately showing off, Mack turned to the other family heads present,
“Don’t worry, everyone. Once the wedding date is confirmed, I’ll send out invitations to all of you. It’s a joyous event for the Cherry family, and of cours we’d love to have our friends and family there to celebrate with us,” he said.
