Chapter 980
“If you don’t buy it, check the surveillance footage from the secret room. I already sent the highlight reel to your inbox!” the commander added.
Louie snorted, rolling his eyes. “Psh, what a show–off. Highlight reel? Probably some amateur nonsense.” He hung up with a scoff.
He wasn’t convinced Forlunda City could churn out anyone worth noticing. Sure, this mystery fighter might outshine the other scrubs from backwater quasi–secondary cities, but they’d still crash and burn in the next round.
‘Hell, they might not even survive it,‘ he thought.
“Some nobody from a small–time city dreaming of becoming a top–tier city disciple? Competing with the big dogs? Get real,” he muttered. “Even if they luck their way through the first round, that’s as far as they’ll go. Becoming a disciple of a top–tier city power?
“That’s the ceiling for a small–fry like them. And Deariton? Scion’s right–hand man? Yeah, dream on.”
Shaking his head, Louie lazily opened his phone and tapped into his email. There it was–an email from Forlunda City’s Commander.
He clicked the attached video, expecting to be bored out of his mind. He was about to close it when something caught his eye.
His jaw dropped. “Wait… isn’t that an elixir tablet only Deariton’s pharmacists can refine?”
He leaned closer, heart pounding. “No way. Even Deariton’s best couldn’t pull off a tablet this pure. This is…”
A chilling thought hit him like a freight train. His face paled, and his hands shook. “No, I’m seeing things. Gotta be.
“This can’t be real!
“That’s an Advanced elixir tablet!”
Louie’s mind raced. “This kid’s got serious skills. But how’s someone this good stuck in a nowhere place like Forlunda City?
“Who is this Raven Valor? How’d they get their hands on an advanced elixir tablet?”
Curiosity burned through him. ‘This Raven Valor, whoever she is, has cleared the level and whipped up something extraordinary. He had to meet this girl, and soon.
Right then, his right–hand man came barreling through the door, panting like he’d just run a marathon. “Sir! Some dude outside says he’s from Deariton, one of the Eight Great Families!”
“What? The Eight Great Families?” Louie’s jaw practically hit the floor.
‘Why the hell would someone from those elite clans show up in a backwater like this?‘ he wondered.
No time to overthink it–he bolted out the door.
There, standing tall, was a guy decked out in a sharp suit, radiating a vibe that screamed power.
His presence alone was enough to make the air feel heavy. When Louie locked eyes with him, his stomach dropped.
He quickly lowered his head, trying to keep his cool. “My lord, didn’t expect you to grace us with a visit. Sorry for not tog out the red carpet… So, uh, what brings you to our little corner of the world?”
The man’s gaze was cold, his lips curling into a smirk that dripped with arrogance. “Louie, I’ve got business with you.”
Louie’s knees wobbled, but he managed to stammer, “Anything you need, sir. I’ll spill everything I know.”
The man’s eyes narrowed. “You ever heard of someone named Raven Valor?”

Chapter 980
“Raven Valor?” Louie’s heart skipped a beat. The name rang a bell–clear as day.
An email from Forlunda City’s commander had mentioned a girl named Raven Valor who’d aced some major test.
‘Why are the Eight Great Families sniffing around for her?‘ he mused. ‘Are they hunting her down?‘
His mind raced, but he kept his poker face on, not letting a single emotion slip. “Sir, is she the one you’re after?”
The man snorted, rolling his eyes. “No kidding, genius.”
