Chapter 10
Bianca’s voice was trembling, and I quickly reassured her, “It’s okay, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s just a matter of time, can we really go a lifetime without seeing each other?
I was really prepared to meet and have a frank conversation, but I didn’t expect them to come so soon…
That night, I walked out of the studio and saw two people leaning against a tree smoking.
One was emaciated, while the other had a pale complexion.
As they leaned into the shadow, they looked just like two vengeful male ghosts.
Especially Brayden, he saw me like a dog seeing a bone, his eyes instantly widened, and he rushed towards me in a few steps.
1 was so scared that 1 immediately took two steps back, and his eyes looked like he was looking at a madman.
He knew he had been impolite, so he stood still and dared not take another step forward
“Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid! I’m sorry, it was my recklessness, I, I just missed you too much, Sienna—“I got goosebumps all over my body. “Don’t call me that way, Mr. Ferrell, just call me Sienna.” The mention of Mr. Ferrell made his face turn even paler.
His lips quivered, and he remained silent for a while. Joey behind him grew impatient and gave him a strong push.
“Sienna, I’m sorry, I apologize to you! I know, I know it’s too late to apologize now! But please give us another chance, come back with us, let us make it up to you, okay?”
I watched his nervousness as he kept rubbing his hands, feeling utterly bewildered.
Go back? Compensate me?
It has been over twenty years, and I have never heard such a funny joke.
I couldn’t help it and burst into laughter.
Both of them were taken aback, and their gaze towards me became even more tense,
What is Mr. Collier joking about? Who are you, brother? I don’t have a brother, and please don’t mistake me for a sister.
He did not argue with me, he just stood absentmindedly two steps away from me, with his eyes lowered, allowing the dim street lamp to distort his shadow.
I was still somewhat startled. This person had lost too much weight… even the checks had already sunken in.
He lowered his head and tried to speak softly, “Sienna, I lotow you’re angry. I apologize, I shouldn’t have, under any circumstances, lost control and U.rown that glass of wine at you”
“I, I shouldn’t have bullied you, shouldn’t have yelled at you. These days, while looking for you, I contacted someone to custom–make a new wedding dress for you. Please forgive me and come back home with me, okay?”
He spoke these words with sincerity and passion, but strangely enough, not a ripple stirred inky heart.
What he owed me, sorry for me, is it just that one glass of wine?
I looked at his face like that and found, to my surprise, it was completely unfamiliar.
In any memory, when he grew up and faced me, le always furrowed his brows, and his eyes were filled with caution and disappointment.
When has there ever been such a peaceful and gentle expression?
Just like going back to childhood.
I chuckled self–deprecatingly, “Surely it was a dream, either you dreaming or me dreaming.”
“Joey, don’t look at me like this, I can hardly recognize you anymore..”
He lifted his head, eager to explain something, but my phone rang at that moment.
