Chapter 25
The winter wind was sharp and freezing.
Stella was standing alone on the empty rooftop. She was in a daze.
She had no idea what she was doing there and wondered why she had seen the three people she least wanted to see after blinking.
Sophie was holding the hand of a little boy on her left while her right hand was buried in Noel’s pocket. She walked toward Stella arrogantly.
“Where’s your precious little daughter?
“Where’s your precious little daughter?”
Those words were like a nightmare echoing in Stella’s mind.
She looked around helplessly as she tried to find any trace of her daughter, but there was no clue of life around her.
Stella looked up and spotted a silver necklace flashing with a chilling light. It blinded her and hurt her eyes.
She was forced to shut her eyes.
When she opened her eyes again, she had left her dream behind and returned to reality.
The sun was just rising, and the light shone on the calendar.
It was December 27th today.
Her daughter was kidnapped on this date in her past life and pushed off the rooftop.
Stella had dreamed about it early that morning.
She breathed heavily. She wanted to wipe away the cold sweat on her forehead.
Stella was about to move her hand when her slight movement woke up Eric, who was sleeping beside her.
He opened his eyes drowsily and spoke in a sleepy tone.
“Did you have a nightmare?”
Stella did not want him to be worried, so she shook her head.
“It’s a little warm. I’m changing the temperature of the air conditioning. You should continue sleeping. It’s still early.”

Eric grunted a reply and fell asleep again very quickly.
Stella could not go back to sleep.
She could not stop thinking about her dream.
However, her memory of it was quickly lost. By the time it was daylight, the only thing she remembered was the necklace.
The necklace… The necklace…
What did it mean?
Stella thought about it while subconsciously placing her hand on her neck.
There was nothing around it.
The empty feeling gave her a jolt. She suddenly remembered something.
She had returned the necklace to Noel because Sophie wanted it.
Sophie had been jealous of Stella’s life and wanted to take everything away from her. That included the necklace.
Noel kept holding on to the necklace before he died. Was he trying to tell Stella that Sophie
was the one who killed him?
A chill ran through Stella at this realization.
The truth about everything that puzzled her before slowly unfurled.
When Sophie and Noel were together in the past, two major obstacles prevented Sophie from becoming Mrs. Chilton.
The first was Stella and Aisling. The second was Eric.
Stella and Aisling had taken the place of Noel’s wife and daughter, while Eric had all the
Chiltons under his control.
That was when she decided to become ruthless. She orchestrated the accident and planned the kidnapping to get rid of both obstacles.
However, Stella had struck back first in this life, and their fates changed.
Sophie was twenty–seven and had lost her parents. Her life was in shambles after being sentenced to six years in prison.
She was returning to get revenge after being released from prison.

Noel was dead now.
The next to die were Stella, Eric, and their children.
What a coincidence that it was December 27th today.
Everything matched up to her past life.
This had all been a conspiracy.
After figuring this out, Stella quickly woke up Eric. She forced him to get up.
Eric was dragged to the police station.
They went to see the officer in charge of investigating Noel’s accident, and Stella mentioned the necklace.
The police quickly used this piece of information to track down Sophie.
Eric and Stella stayed home to guard their children for the entire day. The police finally called in the evening.
“Mrs. Chilton, we have successfully arrested Sophie Taylor and her accomplice outside the kindergarten after receiving the clues you provided. She has admitted to the crime.”
The horrible feeling pent up inside Stella was finally released when she heard the news.
Her daughters, who had no idea what had happened, finally dared to run into her arms when they saw her looking relaxed.
“I’m hungry, Mommy. I want to have ribs!”
“Don’t make her ribs, Mommy. She lost a tooth yesterday. She won’t be able to bite into them. How about making us shrimp?”
All they cared about was food.
Stella was speechless. She touched Eric gently and gestured at the kitchen by lifting her chin slightly.
“The children are hungry. Aren’t you supposed to do something?”
Eric immediately stood up, but the children stopped him before he took another step.
“Let’s go out to eat if Daddy is cooking.”
“We can get Nanny Sims to cook too. I don’t want to have Daddy’s cooking. It’s too salty!”
All of them laughed happily. It was a beautiful night. It was the time Stella completely let go
