Chapter 24
‘Finn just said Malcolm was scum?‘ Everyone present, except Finn and Arya, turned pale.
Especially Malcolm, whose face turned greener than a cucumber.
Yesterday, Finn made him kneel and apologize to Arya at Norrian Club, which was already a huge humiliation.
Although the Barnett family quickly took down those news reports, his reputation was already in tatters. He didn’t even have the face to go back to Norrian Club.
Now, his uncle was calling him scum.
Aiden, Malcolm’s father, finally stepped forward, saying, “Finn, no matter what, Malcolm is your nephew. You sided with Arya to humiliate him at Norrían Club.
“That’s fine, but you’re calling him scum now. That’s really not something an elder should do.” As he said this, Aiden didn’t seem angry at all; his face was adorned with his signature smile.
He had always been a good big brother in front of Finn.
On the surface, he never interfered with Finn’s affairs.
Even when Finn made his son kneel to Arya at Norrian Club, he didn’t cause trouble with Finn.
But only Finn knew–this guy was a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
People like him were way scarier than those who showed their emotions openly.
“Exactly, Uncle Finn.” Emily chimed in, dissatisfied. “Last time you sided with Arya, an outsider, to humiliate my brother at Norrian Club, it completely ruined his reputation in Flodes.
“But my parents didn’t blame you; they even spoke well of you in front of grandpa and grandma. Yet you’re calling my brother scum today. That’s way
over the line!”
“Arya.” Eloise turned to Arya at this moment, looking pitiful as she scolded, “No matter what, you and Malcolm were together before.
“How could you make him kneel and apologize to you? You’re clearly not giving the Barnett family any respect at all.”
She was truly a master at stirring up trouble. In an instant, Arya became the common enemy of the Barnett family.
Finn narrowed his dangerous eyes and scanned the crowd coldly. “Isn’t it normal for a nephew to kneel and apologize to his aunt?!”
His tone was neither hurried nor slow, yet it carried an air of arrogant certainty.
Finally, Colin spoke up, his face full of anger. “Finn, you’re really going too far!”
Seeing Colin getting angry, Eloise felt a surge of delight.
Although Colin was old, he held the most authority in the Barnett family.
Even Finn had to show him respect.
‘As long as Colin harbors a deep dislike for Arya, it’s unlikely that their marriage will endure for long. What’s the point of living in an unblessed marriage, after all?‘ Eloise thought,
Meanwhile, the main subject of their discussion, Arya, didn’t seem anxious at all, instead appearing quite relaxed.

Chapter 24
She was gonna see what kind of waves the Barnett family was planning to stir up.
The commotion outside finally drew Natalie out of the villa.
She stepped out in high heels elegantly, her smiling face freezing instantly at the sight of Arya beside Finn.
What shocked her even more was that Arya’s white dress was from the same brand as hers.
This dress was very picky about body type; any small flaw would be magnified infinitely.
Natalie had thought the dress was tailored for her, but seeing Arya now, she realized Arya’s figure was even more graceful and voluptuous than hers.
Everyone’s eyes darted between Arya and her.
Though they were wearing the same dress, their different demeanors created two completely distinct styles.
Natalie was already considered elegant and beautiful, but compared to Arya, she seemed almost… cheap.
ས་
If Natalie was considered a princess untouched by the
he world, then Arya was fairy steping out of a painting–ethereal tallring a true temptres.
Though the Barnetts didn’t like Arya, they had to admit that Arya’s looks truly qualify her as a beautifully crafted vase.
Women generally didn’t like others prettier than themselves.
Emily immediately went up to Natalie, affectionately holding her wrist, her disdainful gaze fixed on Arya. “Natalie, you’d better go in, lest someone dirty your eyes.”
Emily operated within the entertainment industry and frequently interacted with Natalie.
In her opinion, Natalie was the most suitable match for Finn.
Although she didn’t like Finn either, only Natalie, with her noble background, was fit to be part of the Barnett family.
“No worries.” Natalie quickly calmed herself down and gracefully walked up to Finn, ignoring Arya beside him.
“Mr. Barnett, nice to meet you,” she greeted him with a smile.
As a rich lady from a well–known family, Natalie had undergone professional training in etiquette and other aspects.
She always gave off an image of being refined and knowledgeable.
If she were around in ancient times, she would definitely be a princess who excelled at everything.
But Arya was different.
She was beautiful but exuded wildness and roughness with every move. It made her hard to read.
“Who are you? Do I know you?” Finn’s profound eyes coldly swept over Natalie in front of him.
His handsome yet stern face showed no emotion at all; it was as if he were looking at a stranger.
Natalie’s perfectly made–up face turned slightly pale, but she still maintained her grace. “Mr. Barnett, we can get to know each other now. My name is Natalie McKinney.”
In fact, she already knew Finn before.
They went to the same university when Finn was a prominent figure there, and she was the belle of the broadcasting department who had been smitten by him.

Chapter 24
She once tried having someone deliver love letters to Finn, but ended up seeing him throw them into the trash without hesitation while secretly following behind.
As a dignified lady from a respected family, she couldn’t afford any controversy over her actions, so she never confessed again but kept those feelings hidden inside instead.
Before graduation, she mustered up the courage to ask for his WhatsApp, but he just replied coldly, “Sorry, I don’t use WhatsApp”
Natalie had believed that with her looks, she could at least make an impression on Finn, but she never anticipated that Finn would look at her as if she were a stranger.
“I’m truly sorry,” Arya suddenly smirked and said softly. “My husband doesn’t like women; I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed.”
