Harlan’s mind suddenly grew uncertain. He recalled what Jared had mentioned last time—Arya had hooked with Finn.
up
With Finn’s wealth and capabilities, making the struggling Keller Group earn an extra 20% within a month would be effortless.
But Jared had also said that the Barnett family despised Arya. There was absolutely no way they’d invest in Keller Group. Except for Finn.
Harlan immediately said, “As long as the investor and manager you find aren’t Mr. Barnett, I’ll take that bet!”
Arya replied coolly, “You can rest assured, I won’t seek out Mr. Barnett. But just saying it isn’t enough–we should sign an agreement.”
A glint of smugness flashed in Harlan’s eyes as if his trap had just snapped shut. He eagerly grabbed a pen and paper, writing up the agreement.
In his mind, aside from Finn, there was only one person in the world who could revive Keller Group in just one month.
But that person was now the president of QE Group–there was no way he’d take a job at a near–bankrupt company.
And Arya had the audacity to claim she’d make 20% more? What a joke.
To Harlan, the Keller Group would soon be his.
Arya turned her gaze toward the other shareholders. “Does anyone else want to sign this agreement with me?”
Carls hesitated for a moment before stepping forward. “I’ll take that bet.”
Right after, three older shareholders stepped up as well. “We’ll sign too.”
The remaining shareholders exchanged glances, hesitant and uncertain. In the end, they didn’t dare sign the agreement.
After the meeting ended, the shareholders left the conference room one by one. Arya calmly gathered up the signed agreements from those who did.
To be honest, if it weren’t for her father’s sake, Arya would have already kicked these ungrateful traitors out of the company through less conventional
means.
.
But now, this method could help her reclaim the shares her father had graciously given them. It wasn’t a bad deal at all.
Lynette was the last shareholder to leave. Before she did, she walked up to Arya and handed her a bank card. “Ms. Keller, there are 16 million dollars in this account–it’s all my savings. Use it to help the company out for now.”
Arya looked up at the elegant middle–aged woman before her and gave a faint smile. “Lynette, I appreciate your kindness, but you should keep it.” There had been rumors that Lynette had something going on with Stephen, but Arya knew she was simply grateful for his help back then.
Arya remembered her father telling her that years ago, Lynette had been one of his suppliers. She was honest, fair, and a rare talent in the business
world.
But later, Lynette’s husband cheated on her and schemed for a divorce. Afterward, Lynette raised her child alone, but her ex–husband kept plotting against her, making her the laughingstock of the business circle.
Back then, Lynette had turned to all her friends for help but was rejected by everyone. In the end, it was Stephen who invited her to join the Keller Group as a shareholder.
Meanwhile, Lynette had never forgotten his kindness. She had helped Stephen strategize countless times, and the two became the best business partners.
Even Arya’s mother knew about it, which was why Arya trusted Lynette’s character.
