As soon as fimm finished speaking, he wrapped his arm around the girl in his embrace and headed straight fit the villa’s entrance. Gryn, the rule a he said.
Arya, listening to Finn’s deep, sexy voice in her ear, couldn’t help but roll her eyes. ‘Can he be any more dramatic? she thought to hersell-
Travis watched in frustration as Finn blatantly walked into the villa with Arya in his arms, his teeth grinding in anger.
Arya is still so young, and Mr. Barnett actually wants her to have his children?‘ he thought. Women who have children often end up with changed figures and become haggard. Arya is so beautiful and talented; I won’t let her go down that path. No way. I have to talk some sense into her.
Upstairs, when Finn and Arya returned to the room at three in the morning, Arya had half–expected Finn to make good on his earlier implication. But as soon as the door closed, Finn’s tall frame pinned her against it.
His strong hand gently grasped her pale chin, and he stared into her eyes, his gaze deep and intense. “Arya, who are you really?”
Arya had not only jumped from a considerable height without a scratch but had also taken down two burly hitmen with ease.
Her movements had been more precise than those of Rosalie, who had undergone professional training. This was definitely not something an ordinary person could do.
Looking into Finn’s deep eyes, Arya blinked and said, “I told you I’m the one who saved you, right?”
She knew her actions tonight might have given something away. ‘It’s okay. As long as I keep my mouth shut, I don’t think he can find out anything she thought.
“Are you really Lexie?” Finn’s eyes were unwavering and intense as he looked at the girl in his arms.
Lexie had saved him in Duskwood Forest, healed his mother’s leg, and cured Stephen’s severely injured brain. A medical intern could never have done all
that.
Lexie was also said to be a young girl. So, Finn was now almost certain that Arya was the Lexie he had been looking for.
Feeling Finn’s increasingly powerful and cold aura, Arya’s beautiful eyes flickered.
Should I tell Finn that I am Lexie? If I tell him, will he keep digging and eventually uncover everything? But if I deny it and he finds out later, won’t that just lead to more misunderstandings?‘ she thought.
Considering the potential future complications, Arya decided to be straightforward and nodded. “Since you’ve already guessed it, I won’t hide it anymore. I am indeed Lexie.”
The atmosphere in the room seemed to grow colder in an instant.
Finn looked at Arya, who remained unfazed, and a flash of shock crossed his handsome face. But after the initial surprise, a hint of a smile appeared in his deep eyes. “You really are Lexie.”
Arya was taken aback for a moment. ‘He seemed to know all along that I’m Lexie. And he looks happy?‘
A knock on the door interrupted their moment, followed by Travis’s anxious voice. “Arya, come out for a moment. I need to talk to you.”
A flicker of displeasure crossed Finn’s handsome but stern face when he heard the voice outside.
Arya quickly pushed away from Finn. “Travis is looking for me. I have to go see what he wants.”
Finn didn’t stop her. It was time for him to leave.

Two minutes later, in the study, Arya looked at Travis, who was staring at her seriously, and asked curiously,” “Travis, what do yet pas inban a about?”

Arya, looking at Travis’s earnest expression, suddenly remembered something important. “Travis, don’t just worry about me. Your own issues are more critical. Regarding your male health problem, I’ll prescribe some medication for you later.”
Upon hearing this, Travis’s face changed instantly. “I’m not sick. I’m perfectly fine. Arya, you should go back to Mr. Barnett. Pre going to bed too.”
Arya watched Travis’s hasty retreat with a hint of amusement. ‘Erectile dysfunction isn’t a big deal. Travis is just too anxious, she thought.
When Arya returned to the room,
she found that Finn was
gone.

Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Arya climbed into bed and soon drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Arya heard some commotion in the living room downstairs.
She quickly changed and went down to see her uncle Jared, who was furiously confronting her mother, Maria. “Maria, over the years, we’ve treated you well, haven’t we? My daughter came to visit Stephen out of kindness, and you not only made her feel unwelcome, but Arya even fed my daughter a stone that I bought for 300 thousand dollars.”
Thinking of his daughter’s current predicament, Jared was so furious that he wanted to strangle Arya on the spot.
Maria, facing Jared’s accusations, remained relatively calm. “Jared, what do you want?”
Jared raised his voice. “I want Arya to go to the hospital and apologize to my daughter in person.”
