In reality, Jared had far more sinister plans than simply wanting an apology from Arya.
Arya had caused severe damage to his daughter’s stomach, rendering her infertile. He wanted Arya to suffer ten times more than his daughter had
Once Arya set foot in the hospital, Jared was confident he could make her pay a heavy price.
“No way.” Maria flatly refused Jared and said, “This isn’t Arya’s fault, and I won’t let her apologize at the hospital”
Although Maria didn’t know why Arya had struck Eloise, she was well aware that Eloise’s provocative behavior with Malcolm was a blatant insult to the Keller family.
Maria thought to herself, ‘Arya is our precious gem, cherished and protected. Why should Malcolm be able to take her as he pleases and discard her as he wishes?
Eloise knew full well that Arya and Malcolm had been married, yet she still got involved with him as soon as she returned. I used to think Eloise was a sensible niece, but now I see she’s nothing but trouble.‘
“Maria, I’ve already given Arya a chance,” Jared said, his face darkening when Maria so firmly rejected him. “It’s you who don’t appreciate it. You’ll regret this.”
With that, he stormed off, clearly not someone to be easily reasoned with.
Arya watched Jared’s retreating back, her eyes growing colder by the second. ‘These annoying pests, it’s time to deal with them, she thought.
“Arya, did you hear what Jared said?” Maria looked up and saw Arya standing at the staircase with a cold expression, seeming to worry about what Arya might think. “Don’t take Jared’s words to heart. Eloise and Malcolm were the ones who provoked you first.”
Arya turned her gaze away and slowly descended the stairs, her pretty face showing no sign of distress. “Mom, I’m fine. You, on the other hand, need to
be more careful around Jared in the future. Never meet him alone.”
Arya knew full well that last night’s arson attempt by Malcolm wasn’t a simple act.
If she was right, Eloise must have whispered something into Malcolm’s ear. Malcolm wouldn’t have come up with such a vicious plan on his own.
Moreover, since the arson failed, Eloise and Jared would surely try to retaliate against the Keller family.
It seemed she needed to bring some personnel back from Xanatos to protect her parents‘ safety.
Just as she was about to send a message to the organization through the dark web, there was a rustling sound of footsteps outside the door.
Arya turned her head alertly and saw Robert leading more than a dozen bodyguards in black, marching in with military precision.
These bodyguards exuded a special aura that only soldiers had, and it was clear at a glance that they had undergone rigorous military training.
Robert approached Arya and said respectfully, “Mrs. Barnett, Mr. Barnett has arranged for these bodyguards to protect the Keller family’s safety.”
In fact, these were no ordinary bodyguards. They were special forces that Finn had specifically called back from the special forces unit.
Finn would only mobilize the special forces in case of an emergency.
But what Robert never expected was that Finn would assign these elite troops to guard the Keller family’s villa. It was like using a sledgehammer to crack
a nut.
Mr. Barnett is really going all out for Mrs. Barnett,‘ Robert thought to himself, though he didn’t dare voice his opinion and simply followed orders.
Maria was still in a daze when she saw the dozen or so tall, black–clad bodyguards suddenly appear in the living room.

Maria instinctively glanced at Arya, who nodded slightly at Robert and said, “Thank you, Robert

Arya was taken aback for a moment. He really hadn’t forgotten about her moving in.
But since so many bedyguards had been arranged to protect the Keller family, she didn’t need to worry anymore, so she nodded and said, “Okay, 1’11 go over later.”
Róbert didn’t say anything more. After arranging the bodyguards‘ duties properly, he left immediately.
It was only then that Maria looked at Arya in disbelief. “Arya, what’s really going on? Why did Mr. Barnett arrange so many bodyguards for our home?”
Arya met her mother’s worried gaze and evaded the main issue by saying, “Dad has just woken up recently. Mr. Barnett is concerned that someone might target him, so he sent these bodyguards to ensure your safety.”
Maria immediately smiled and praised, “I didn’t expect Mr. Barnett to be so considerate. You have a thoughtful husband.”

But Arya didn’t dwell on this topic and continued, “Mom, I’m moving in with Finn tonight. I’ll leave Dad in your care. Please take good care of him and call me if anything happens.”
Although Maria was reluctant to see her daughter go, Arya was already married to Finn, and she couldn’t really hold her back. She could only advise, “I’ll take good care of your dad. You take care of yourself. Remember to visit us often when you have time.”
After leaving Keller Villa, Arya didn’t head to the Platinum Mansion where Finn lived.
Instead, she drove her car to Sutton Steel. She looked up at the magnificent high–rise before her, her deep eyes flashing with a hint of meaning.
The Sutton Steel was a company under her uncle Jared’s name.
Fifteen years ago, Jared had been just a humble steelworker. Stephen had provided him with the initial capital to start a small steel company.
Later, Stephen had extended a helping hand, teaching Jared business management and introducing clients to him, allowing him to grow from a small steel company owner to the successful businessman he was today./
Even the high–rise before her had been secured by Jared through his connections two years ago.
Yet, in the end, Jared had caused Stephen to jump off a building and led Keller Group to bankruptcy.
A cold, sharp chill suddenly emanated from Arya. After a moment, she took out her phone and typed a series of English letters on the screen.
Suddenly, a surveillance video popped up. The footage was from the chairman’s office of Sutton Steel.
